Staff were super helpful and friendly. Food was excellent and plentiful.
The hotel looked a little tired and the room was a bit tatty.
For example - the wooden floor was marked, the net curtains were torn in two places, the plastic waste bin was split- the room was clean and was well equipped although only terrestrial TV channels were available. Not what you expect at these prices.
Activities were good but we wanted to swim on the day of departure but the pool didn’t open until 10am. This was frustrating as the pool cover was off and there was a receptionist in the spa. As the pool was never attended by a lifeguard we couldn’t understand why we couldn’t use it - we were clearly and rather abruptly told it was closed.

We had a lovely stay at The Scarlet overall — the hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and in a stunning location. The atmosphere was very relaxing and it definitely felt like a special getaway. The spa facilities and overall aesthetic were really nice, and the staff were friendly throughout our stay.
That said, for almost £900, we did leave feeling like it didn’t quite live up to the price point. It was my birthday during our stay and we were a little surprised there wasn’t even a small complimentary gesture or acknowledgment, especially at a hotel positioned as a luxury experience. Nothing was necessarily wrong, but it just didn’t have that “wow” factor we were expecting for the cost.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay and we enjoyed our time there, but probably not somewhere we would return to based on the value for money.
Everything is wonderful! The spa, the rooms and the food were amazing! The staff are all very friendly and are willing to head with everything. This was definitely a highlight in our vacation and I will definitely stay here again.

The Staff were wonderful and attentive. We arrived a little early, but they were ready and waiting with cool Champagne, which I must say was most welcome after the long drive. Without hesitation a tour of the complex was given. Superb!! The rooms have expectational views of the bay How beautiful it was to sleep to the sound of the sea. If you need relaxation and tranquility this is the place to be!
Amazing location, staff so attentive but highlight for us was the quality of the food, best breakfast I have ever had at any hotel and we have stayed at lots of hotels in different countries. Evening 3 course dinner, exceptional!
