Nice view
Good breakfast
There was a staff party with extremely loud music until midnight. The manager responded to us once at 7:30 PM and then ignored our messages. (See photo.)
The bed linen was so dirty—it had clearly not been changed from the previous guests—and they didn’t even empty the bin. (See photo.)
The pool was so dirty that my husband had to clean it himself the next day just to be able to use it.
The road to get there was difficult and filthy.
It was so bad that we canceled the two extra days we had booked.
Very unprofessional management.
Privacy, pool area on the rocks, the view 👌
There was a few other tourist and maybe thats why they only had few food options, but still was super proactive looking around us.
The room itself looked very well kept and new.
Payana is a home stay and is a long long way out of town on a horribly maintained dirt road (approximately 35 minutes), So bad in fact the tuk tuk we had arranged to drive us there broke down due to the bumps. We were only in Kampot for two nights and this location was just not suitable for us. If you plan on staying more than a few days and want a remote experience half an hour out of town I think this would be great but if you want to be anywhere near restaurants/bars/train station/bus terminal perhaps look at staying elsewhere.
We had a great time staying at Payana. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The cabins were so comfortable and cosy, with great views and surrounded by nature. Breakfast was great. The only regret I have is that we didn’t stay enough time at this place!
None, everything was perfect!
Beautiful location and accommodation out of the way. We took a scooter so we could go out still. There’s no restaurant so be aware you need to take food or go out. We did get a massive breakfast delivered every day, with so much food for 2. Pools lovely and the staff were amazing.
Bit of a bumpy journey in but well worth it
Very nice place for truly relaxed and enjoy the nature. Not far from town, truly quiet and accompanied by nature.
The place is so clean with neat design, service is also very good to make you feel warmly welcome.
I have a great getaway here with my family, 6 adults, and 3 kids. We occupied Rockey and Monkey house. It's perfect for a slow lifestyle. Escape from the busy and noisy city to here is a bravo choice. Ohhh, don't miss the sunset view at the pool and the purple sky after sunset. Very accommodating staffs and the facilities are cleaned.
The treehouse is absolutely amazing to stay in. We also received a free, complementary cocktail! The kitchen is equipped so you can also bring food.
The property is so far down a badly maintained road from Kampot that virtually no driver will know it. Its location on Google is slightly wrong so that doesn’t help and when we were stranded and called the number, it was disconnected. We made it in the end though! If you don’t have a private vehicle, it’s not easy to get around: you need to call a tuktuk to get to the nearest restaurants and there are few tuktuks that’d do it. There is a restaurant on the property but it was closed and no information about it before we came.
Most amazing property I’ve ever stayed in. Felt like a paradise and escape from the business. The pool was amazing and all the trees around made the atmosphere so relaxing.
Best location nice mountain view and friendly staff clean and green environment.
