The food was amaizing and the location was quite good, the center of Getsemaní was just one block away and every other location was either 10 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by car. I like that the attention was 24/7 as well and how nice the lobby facilities were. And I felt super safe.
The attention was not the best. When we arrived they did not give us towels and the person was a little harsh with her answers.
Also, the room was weirdly dessigned. There was no division between the WC and the shower, this caused the entrie bathroom to flood and made it uncomfortable to change, to go to the WC or to do anything at all. Not to mention that the bathroom was seethrough.
Location
Mmmmm bathroom too small
Everything was fine! Staff is always trying to solve any issue, is very nice and attentive. Breakfast is delicious, not to fatty in comparison with other restaurant options. The location is very close to many atractions in Getsemani and the historic quarter.
The hotel is very tiny, but it’s perfect if you wanna sleep and rest sometime.
A great hotel made better by the staff. The rooms are compact, expect to store bags under the bed, but it's well located, the bathroom is a decent size, the aircon, comfortable bed, and tv are all great.
Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious.
Breakfast was ok
The rooms have no windows nor any ventilation system. It was humid and smelled like mold. We are told not to put on the AC in the rooms when we’re not in it but that makes it even worse. The rooms were so tiny we couldn’t fit with 2 people in it with their bags.
Good location if you want to be in the party area of Cartagena.
When you enter the hotel a really pungent smell hits you in the face. Not a great first impression. The common entrance/breakfast area looked clean but that unfortunately did not hold true for the room. It's absolutely tiny, you can't even open a regulary sized suitcase properly. The sheets had stains, all of them, so did the towels. The room is moldy because the bathroom is in the room and its walls don't actually separate it from the bedroom. So all the humidity is trapped in the room and you can see and smell that. If you take a shower you'll have to walk through the wet shower to get to the (now wet) toilet. I'm pretty sure the sink hadn't been cleaned and neither had the toilet. We only stayed one night, if we had booked more we would have moved to a different hotel for sure. For the money we paid we would expect clean sheets at the least.
Stuff are great and helpful its very clean and quiet.
The service is pretty good.
Is way to small. The bathroom is uncomfortable, you can not use it without hurting yourself because of the little space.
Great location with everything in walking distance, although it was on a quiet road it felt really safe walking back even at night. Free breakfast was good.
Staff were all nice and helpful and the lobby was a good space to chill in since our room was a box
Our room was TINY and definitely wasn’t fit for two people - we couldn’t even open up our suitcases.
WiFi wasn’t working for a couple of days. Our wet room/shower was constantly flooded so everything was damp and there was no windows to air it out. We were next to the 'pool' and there was a damp smell throughout.
We didn’t have our room cleaned once in 4 nights which made everything worse.
Location was excellent and staff were very helpful
The rooms were tiny!
Very beautiful & colourful. Very clean. Beds & pillows were very comfortable. Sheets & towels were very fresh and white. Breakfast was really yummy and filling, scrambled eggs, platacon, fresh fruit, fresh juice. Very central to Getsemaní but also very quiet. Shower was powerful. Provided shower gel, shampoo etc. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Rooms are secure using key card. Air con was a saviour. Full length mirror in lobby.
Rooms are really very small. It’s okay for 2-3 days. Hard if you have big luggage/suitcases that are heavy. You are climbing over each other. It would not be an issue but it rained 3/4 days we were in Cartagena, so the room felt damp the whole time with our wet clothes/no where to hang them.
Rooms are very secure but front door is manned by staff. Got caught outside in pouring rain for 5 mins. Felt awkward/bad making staff open the door whenever you want to leave or if you are coming back late.
Clean, modern facilities, friendly staff, good value
Very small room
People were kind and friendly.
The room did not have a window (and this was not displayed on the web page), the room next door (literally) was under construction and they were working til 11 pm on a Saturday, with the noise and dirt that that brings (2 roaches). On top of this, the reception was room for small gatherings of people drinking until 5 am each day, making noise and screaming. That was frankly the most annoying thing of all, because we could not rest properly to enjoy the day after.
It was convenient and affordable - no frills but we werent expecting any. The staff were really nice and helped us get a taxi to the airport. The room had aircon and a tv which was nice.
It was not clean. There was someone else's hair in the shower, false eyelashes in the bed and a suspicious white stain on the bed frame.
Terrible Experience: Hygiene Issues, No Hot Water, and Insecurity
I recently visited this hotel and stayed for one night instead of three initially planned. Unfortunately, my experience was far from acceptable.
First, the hygiene was abysmal. There was a strong, unpleasant smell of humidity throughout the room that made it uncomfortable to stay in. To make matters worse, I found urine on the toilet seat upon arrival, which clearly shows a lack of proper cleaning and care for the rooms.
Secondly, there were significant security concerns. The window in my room was broken and wouldn’t close properly, leaving it exposed to the outside. Since the window faced a parking lot, this made me feel unsafe.
The room also didn’t have hot water, which is simply unacceptable for any hotel. After raising these issues with the management, and mentioned that I have booked another hotel for the remaining nights (2), they refused to reimburse. Instead, they wanted to offer me a complementary tour that I refused. Then, they proceeded to give me 150,000 COP in cash and asked me not to post a review, which speaks volumes about their lack of professionalism.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the combination of hygiene, security, and service issues. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
