If you're going to Isla Grande, stay on the beach — Centro Ubuntu delivers the full experience.
Pros:

Carolina makes this stay. She is incredibly attentive, walks you through everything you need to know, and gives genuinely helpful recommendations. The tour activities are well organized — the bioluminescent night tour was a once-in-a-kind experience; swimming among glowing planktons is something we still can't believe we got to do. The snorkeling was decent and enjoyable, even if the reefs elsewhere impressed us more. The property sits right on the beach, which on Isla Grande is everything. There's also a lovely human element — the family lives on the property, and our daughter got to connect a little with their daughter. Watching the local kids head off to school by speedboat in their uniforms was one of those unexpected moments that sticks with you.

Cons:

It's the priciest place we stayed and transportation is not included — Carolina will help you arrange it, but budget accordingly. You will feel like you're paying American prices. That said, for what's delivered, it met expectations and then some.

Paradise
Pros:

Highly recommend staying here. The hosts and staff were lovely and very knowledgeable and the place is very tranquil. There’s a small beach you can swim in the sea and snorkel. We did some excursions with Filip and he was fab. We went with our 5 year old who made friends with some local
Kids and really loved it too. Definitely go to the island and definitely stay here! :)

Très agréable séjour
Pros:

Nous avions préféré les transferts organisés par Centro Ubuntu, pas donné mais tellement plus simple et pratique. L’accueil de Carolina a l’arrivée est parfait, avec quelques mots en français ! Ravis du logement, sa petite terrasse et son hamac, sa vue au bord de l’eau
Literie ok, débit d’eau limité et pas très chaude mais franchement pas un problème !
L’espace transat au bord de l’eau est très bien aménagé et décoré. La plage est petite mais très suffisante, un peu de snorkeling est effectivement possible directement après quelques mètres dans l’eau.
Les petits déjeuners sont frais et très corrects
Tout le personnel est aux petits soins, merci particulier à Myriam toujours souriante.
Par rapport aux commentaires des années précédentes sur l’état général du site (travaux, matériaux, odeurs), très bonne surprise : ce n’est plus le cas, tout l’espace est bien rangé et balayé quotidiennement.
Nous avons passé 3 jours très agréables, au calme dans un environnement magnifique entourés de personnes adorables.
Je recommande vivement Centro Ubuntu

La location de masque pour le snorkeling est payante
Juste un raté concernant une excursion, nous l’avons raté car nous n’attendions pas au bon endroit ….

Oasi incantata a Isla Grande
Pros:

Il centro Ubuntu è un'oasi incantata su Isla Grande: personale super attento, disponibile e competente. Cabañas davvero accoglienti, bagno aperto con tetto in foglie di palma superlativo. Tante attività da organizzare con guide locali (come snorkel in mezzo al plancton di notte, snorkel alla barriera corallina, canoa nella laguna di mangrovie). Spiaggia privata splendida con lettini e una copertura in legno da sogno per rilassarsi fino al tramonto. Davvero consigliatissimo!

Bungalow ampio, fresco e pulito. Massima tranquillità per chi vuole rilassarsi. Piccole calette, mare tranquillo e pulito. Staff molto disponibile, con possibiltà di escursioni interessanti con guide locali. Ristorante buono con prodotti freschi.

Nous avons pu profiter des activités et nous reposer dans un très beau cadre comme prevu
Pros:

L'emplacement est fidèle à la description. Nous avons aimé les valeurs des personnes ayant créé le lieux.
Le lieu était très paisible et bcp d'aménagement pour se reposer.
La cuisine est très bonne. Merci!

Cons:

1 des petits lits était un peu ferme.
Notre logement était mitoyen, sous le même toit qu'un autre logement. Nous entendions bcp les voisins et donc nous devions aussi faire très attention au bruit car nous n'avions pas le même rythme. Je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit précisé dans la description du logement.

Cons:

Le retour en bateau collectif était dangereux au vue de la houle et de la conduite très rapide. Privilégier le transfert proposé par l’hôtel via Baru.

Pros:

Centro Ubuntu ist ein Öko-Resort und entsprechend ausgerichtet. Schöne Lage am Wasser mit kleinem Strand. Super nettes Personal und alles immer frisch zubereitet.

Tranquilidad y descanso real
Pros:

La tranquilidad que se siente. La comodidad de las cabañas y todas sus instalaciones. El concepto de ser un hotel ecológico le da una conexión muy especial con la naturaleza y la comunidad.

Experiència autèntica, unica i inoblidable
Pros:

Ubuntu és un espai molt especial. No és un lloc fet per algú que busqui luxe, però sí per viure una experiència autèntica en una illa del Carib amb totes les comoditats. La ubicació és privilegiada, amb el moll amb les tumbones i l’accés directe a la platja a tocar. El menjar, tant esmorzar, dinar com sopar estava molt bo. Recomano provar la llimonada de coco, deliciosa!

Cons:

Pel preu, podria incloure com a mínim l’àpat de l’esmorzar, ja que tot són extres.
Llàstima que la segona nit i havia música forta a un lloc proper a l’hotel i costava dormir.
