Perfect place to disconnect and relax—a lovely paradise to be discovered
Pros:

This was a fantastic highlight of our holiday. We loved the energy and concept of Centro Ubuntu, and all the staff made our family feel welcome. They assisted us with coordinating transportation to the island, and the drivers were kind and very reliable. I enjoyed the food, and most of all, there were great activities for the family. It is the perfect place to disconnect and relax—a lovely paradise to be discovered.

Merveilleux séjour
Pros:

Le véritable point fort de l’établissement est sans aucun doute son personnel, qui est absolument adorable et attentionné.
L’emplacement est également exceptionnel : le front de mer et l’accès aménagé à la mer sont tout simplement incroyables.
Le restaurant mérite aussi une mention spéciale, nous nous sommes régalés.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour et gardons un excellent souvenir de cette expérience.

Cons:

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’ensemble, et ces quelques remarques restent des détails d’amélioration.
Nous sommes restés trois nuits, et la chambre n’a pas été nettoyée durant ce séjour. À minima, le vidage des poubelles aurait été apprécié.
Par ailleurs, au regard du prix de la chambre, la mise à disposition de masques en libre-service aurait été un petit plus appréciable.

Pros:

Loved it from the beginning to the end! The place, the beach, the rooms, the food, the location. Carolina, the manager, was absolutely amazing! Zero waste and ecological thinking, everyone is super nice and friendly. One of the best accommodations I have had in my entire life! :)

Relaxen in angenehmer Atmosphäre
Pros:

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und sauber. Mein Cabana entsprach meinen Erwartungen und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Ventilator reicht aus, auch in den Zeiten in denen der Strom nur reduziert geliefert wird. Das Frühstück ist ok, mit Ausnahme der Preise für Nachschub. So kosten zwei Toastscheiben COL 10'000 (3 USD!). Der Sandstrand ist sehr klein aber sauber.

Cons:

Die Beleuchtung auf der Veranda ist zu schwach nützt nichts (auch wenn der Strom zu 100% da ist). Die Liegestühle sind praktisch alle schmutzig. Wenn der Wind von Norden weht, hat es an diesem Strand praktisch kein Lüftchen und es ist auch am Schatten fast nicht zum Aushalten. Nachschub für Morgenessen ist unangemessen teuer. Zwei Toastscheiben für COL 10'000. Die vermittelte Schnorcheltour (1h, COL 90'000) kann man sich sparen. Die Korallen sind tief unter dem Wasserspiegel, viele sind weiss und farblos und man sieht nur ein paar Fischchen. Da gibt es an der Playa libre (7 min. gegenüber) besseres und erst noch günstiger!

If you're going to Isla Grande, stay on the beach — Centro Ubuntu delivers the full experience.
Pros:

Carolina makes this stay. She is incredibly attentive, walks you through everything you need to know, and gives genuinely helpful recommendations. The tour activities are well organized — the bioluminescent night tour was a once-in-a-kind experience; swimming among glowing planktons is something we still can't believe we got to do. The snorkeling was decent and enjoyable, even if the reefs elsewhere impressed us more. The property sits right on the beach, which on Isla Grande is everything. There's also a lovely human element — the family lives on the property, and our daughter got to connect a little with their daughter. Watching the local kids head off to school by speedboat in their uniforms was one of those unexpected moments that sticks with you.

Cons:

It's the priciest place we stayed and transportation is not included — Carolina will help you arrange it, but budget accordingly. You will feel like you're paying American prices. That said, for what's delivered, it met expectations and then some.

Paradise
Pros:

Highly recommend staying here. The hosts and staff were lovely and very knowledgeable and the place is very tranquil. There’s a small beach you can swim in the sea and snorkel. We did some excursions with Filip and he was fab. We went with our 5 year old who made friends with some local
Kids and really loved it too. Definitely go to the island and definitely stay here! :)
