Clean, comfortable, beautiful property. Staff was extremely helpful in organizing anything we needed during our stay including taxis, and premade breakfast for our super early hike. They were also extremely kind enough to open breakfast a little early for us to eat before we went to the airport on our last day. There was a slight miscommunication on my part due to my limited Spanish about the timing of the taxi they organized and breakfast, and they even communicated with the taxi driver to wait while we hurriedly ate breakfast. 10 stars for the staff alone!
A little far from the center of town, but a taxi/uber was only 5-10 soles so it wasn’t a problem.
Room with balcony and spa bath was great. Nice to have a hot bath after a few months of travel where showers were often cold. Breakfast served on the top floor with views of the mountains that included eggs and lots of fresh fruit, with takeaway breakfast available for early starts. Fridge in our room was a bonus to keep drinks cold - unusual for Peru. Owner was really nice and helpful, even dropping us to the bus station with our luggage when we left.
It’s a bit out of the main town, but only a cheap Uber away and this meant it was in a quieter area.
The hotel itself is super cozy and safe, the breakfast room has amazing views. The owner and all the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I will be back.

The staff and the owner are very nice people. The hotel has beautiful common areas and the rooms are good enough. We slept comfortably.
Problems with hot water in the shower during the three day stay, even though we asked the staff to fix it. The other couple staying at the hotel at the same time had the same problem. After and before treks not having a normal shower is a serious issue.
The rooms don't look quite as fresh as on the pictures.
Staff don't speak English, even though we figured things out with google translate.
The location is far from the center.
I wish I could give a better review but the owner must really take care of the hot water problem.

Nada todo muy bien
The staff was super kind and helpful! Jaime and his team made us fell like home. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious fresh fruits and juice, and the location was excellent (not far from the city center and in a quiet and nice neighborhood)
Hôtel familial, situé dans un quartier calme mais proche du centre-ville, impeccablement tenu. Personnel charmant, extrêmement fiable et efficace; salle de petit-déjeuner avec une vue exceptionnelle sur les montagnes; idéal pour qui veut rayonner autour de Huaraz et faire du Maimara son camp de base.
Unique bémol: les douches sont parfois capricieuses, selon les chambres. Sinon, rien à dire, c'est impeccable.
La vista desde el piso donde tomábamos desayuno era bellísima. El lugar donde estaba ubicado el hotel era muy céntrico.
Me quedé es una habitación que era como un departamento muy amplio y bonito. Lamentablemente parecía haber algún problema con las tuberías porque el olor a orina y urea eran insoportables y se quedaban por horas en el cuarto.
Las instalaciones en general bien. Hacen desayuno para llevar con mucha fruta. Ducha con presión y agua muy caliente. Cama cómoda.
Muy lejos del centro. No creo que me volviera a alojar ya que nada queda cerca. Está muy apartado. Estuve dos días alternos y en la segunda habitación que pagué más por la bañera estaba en una planta -1 (sótano)
Il Maimara Hotel di Huaraz è uno di quei luoghi che rendono un viaggio ancora più speciale: bello, curato e gestito con grande attenzione.
La camera è elegante, ben arredata e impeccabilmente pulita, con acqua calda nella doccia, un comfort tutt’altro che scontato a Huaraz. Il personale è gentilissimo, ma una menzione speciale vattenzione.
Grazie a Jaime e a tutto il suo staff: avete reso il mio soggiorno a Huaraz un ricordo bellissimo. Un hotel che consiglio senza esitazione e in cui tornerei sicuramente.

There were old tissues under our bed and hair in the shower. Also our room faced a soccer court with people playing from 7am to 9pm. And there are no curtains to block the streetlights coming in.
Everything looks quite nice (not as good as on the photos though) and the staff is friendly
It is very loud, there are cocks screaming the whole day, during the night dogs bark and you can hear the water flowing in the walls when other rooms shower.
Me encanto que mi dormitorio haya sido amplio y que inmediatamente se haya ofrecido opciones de estufa, nunca pasamos una noche fría. Los desayunos fueron increíbles, fue genial que haya opciones para comer y la vista desde el comedor hacia los nevados fue inmejorable. El personal siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudar a cualquier solicitud. El dueño siempre dio consejos precisos para conocer la ciudad y las diversas atracciones
