we had a very good experience with wonstar. actually this is my second time in our hotel.
Pros:

the hotel is strategic to all the attractions of Taipei. also it's very near ximen station and ximending night market and practically one ride to the taipei dome and exhibition center where the rotary international convention was held

Great location, budget friendly stay
Pros:

Location was excellent and rate was good. Staff were friendly and helpful, relatively comfy bed.

Cons:

Room could be cleaner, they didnt make up our room on our last day (but I didn't bring it up and they had replaced the towels). There was no hand soap in the bathroom and we ended up buying some from nearby store.
