Hotel Jamingo

I prefer using the stairs over the elevator. I asked at reception if I could use the stairs, but they are only for emergencies; otherwise, they are kept locked. They would have gladly opened the door for me, but I didn't want to keep bothering them with it. But it's me and my stupid thing. However, I don't understand why they keep a fire/emergency exit locked all the time.
All the lapms were unplugged. I had to connect them if I wanted to use one of them. (Maybe the TV was unplugged too, but I didn't use it.)
Next to the bed there were only one power outlet on each side, but if I connected the lamp, I had to charge my phone on the other side of the bed. Anything else was perfect. Next time I would go there again.

Nothing. Everything is ok.

Nous avons eu une chambre pour PMR. Peut-être car je voyageais avec un enfant mais ce n'est pas du tout un problème.

Expensive - not the best value for money.
The check-in procedures could usefully be re-organised: with 6 members of staff were behind the reception desk, operating 2 computer terminals, I LITERALLY stood there, unacknowledged for some 30 mins. while the entire focus went to the lively group checking in.
I would suggest the hotel thinks about making GROUP members queue (in an orderly fashion might be a plan) at one terminal ; so that a SINGLE traveller of a certain age might then be served at the other computer without too much delay.
Unfortunately, I arrived (on a very hot afternoon) just minutes after a rowdy group of some 12 Dutch "lads-out-on-the-town". They seemed to completely overwhelm the 6 young reception staff and filled the foyer with chaos and noise - the lads were clearly already in high spirits.
Nobody behind the check-in desk seemed able to take the chaotic situation in hand.
I stood, observed and waited in amazement: it took a good half hour for each of the lads
1. to be registered (incl. manually filling in passport details on a form and passports being photocopied) while the boys debated who was sharing with whom); 2. were asked to pay bills individually AND 3. were then offered an alcoholic welcome drink from the drinks cabinet at the opposite end of the reception hall! (High alcohol content local beer an option on the hottest day of the year?!) Some merry carry-on throughout the entire entrance space!
My Booking arrangement did NOT include a welcome drink.
When I asked to buy a bottle of water, I was told "we do not sell water" ... but I could buy a drinks bottle and then make use of free chilled tap-water refills).

Het Hotel kan hier niet veel aan doen, al het vuil langs fr straat.

De kamer (1005) was niet echt rustig. Deze was wel aan het eind van de gang gelegen, dus er liep niemand langs onze deur. Maar de kamer (wat naargeestig en donker, geen gezellige sfeer, op begane grond met uitzicht op een blinde muur) was evengoed gehorig. We hadden 's nachts last van lawaai vanaf buiten, waardoor we meerdere keren wakker zijn geworden van geschreeuw. Ook wel jammer dat de douche een te kort gordijn had, waardoor de vloer bij de wastafel erg nat werd. De kussens op de bedden waren wat te dik. Ook de extra kussen opties in de kast waren nog steeds te dik voor onze smaak. We snappen het commentaar van sommigen dat een niet afsluitbare, semi doorzichtige badkamerdeur wat bijzonder is...
