Pros:

The staff, who were friendly, efficient and most helpful.
The hotel's position on the waterfront was ideal.
The breakfast catering was excellent, offering a wide choice of hot and cold food up to 1030 am.

Awesome and relaxing time because of staff, nice rooms with views and central location.
Pros:

Anita who mans the reception is awesome. Very timely and responsive to text messages and good with recommendations for eating places. Rooms had great views of the caldera, and also a rooftop area with seats having fabulous views, ideal for chat chat sessions over wine. Anita was also thorough in leaving no stones unturned in finding a mobile phone which was left behind on the rooftop terrace the night before. Nice welcome touches from Vangelis when we checked in -- he addressed questions that we had and surprised us with a bottle of white wine. Nice restaurant, Amphora, just below the hotel which serves delicious food with excellent service and a waterfront view to boot.

Cons:

Heaving our luggage up to the rooms as the building has no elevators.
The shower area was only half covered by glass so toilet floor gets wet after taking a shower, should have it fully enclosed with glass/screen.

Pros:

Perfect location with incredible access to the harbour, old town and beautiful views throughout the property. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, quality linen, and excellent air conditioning. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere and was a really fun addition to the stay.

Cons:

The WiFi unfortunately wasn’t working for the duration of my stay, which was quite inconvenient as an international traveller relying on limited mobile data — I ended up needing to purchase extra data for my phone plan. The fridge in the room was also very loud and froze everything inside, even after I turned the temperature right down. In the end, I had to unplug it overnight so I could sleep comfortably.

The king-sized bed was otherwise very comfortable, though only two pillows were provided. A couple of extra pillows would have made the experience feel a bit more luxe. I also found the room amenities fairly minimal, with no shower cap, slippers, or kettle provided, and I needed to call reception to request a plate and knife for cheese. Overall, a few small additions and maintenance fixes would really elevate the stay.

If you want one of the most beautiful views in Crete, ask for room 13.
Pros:

What’s not to like? The location is exquisite, the staff is exceptional, the food in the restaurant great. There’s nothing sleek and impersonal about Amphora. If you want that, go elsewhere. We will return to Amphora.

Un coup de cœur pour cet hôtel chargé d'histoire, idéalement situé face au magnifique port de La Canée. La chambre était impeccable, confortable, et on s'y sent immédiatement comme chez soi — bercé par le parfum iodé de la mer et le chant des oiseaux.
Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence ici, c'est l'équipe : attentive, bienveillante et d'une chaleur rare. Une mention toute spéciale à Anita, dont le professionnalisme et la réactivité ont été précieux pour gérer ma réservation Booking avec efficacité et le sourire. Fabulous place to stay !
Pros:

Staff are like family and will do anything for you . Anita was like my Greek mama for the week . Breakfast was delicious and location is central and beautiful harbour views 👌. Oh and the shower was amazing !!

Cons:

It is a small , cute , old hotel but nothing I didnt like !! My balcony didnt get any sun but thats not a deal breaker . Only there for sleeps !! The rooftop terrace makes up for that!

Endroit à recommander en tous points .
Pros:

Très bon accueil avec une très jolie proposition de visite avant de reprendre notre avion . Merci encore pour cette belle découverte dans la montagne derrière la ville.

Location location location!

Cons:

We had two rooms for our family of 6. One of which was situated right above the harbour. The view there was magnificent but the street noice was really load (bands playing) until 3 am the first night and 5 am the second one and kept us awake :(
