All very clean.The staff very kind and helpful.Our stay was great.
We selected hotel Tropicana because of the bar and the view, and the fact that we like Greek family run hotels. the room was lovely and spacious (and I think we got a free upgrade to include a balcony). They also accomodated us another room for a lte check out at short notice for a nominal fee. the bar was fab and nice music playing all day. Staff and wonderful and hospitable and keen to please you. Nothing too much trouble. the food was lovely and we encouraged them to expand their menu and offer more Greek food/ Greek BBq night as there are a shortage of tavernas and bars in the immediate area, but you can walk to town in 20 mins, or get food at the nearby seaside garden cafe (which has a lovely private sunbathing area besides the beach/nice stretch of sea, or the kebab place next door). Plus the hotel has a large bar which would be a bit more lively at night to accompany the food. They do have extra terrace space upstairs to run a taverna - here is hoping! :) The last night of our stay they recommended us a butchers restaurant in the mountains and it was damn good. But you must book and dont tell too many people either as its a locals place with few tourists lol :)
I suggested to them before we left that they acquire a few more sunbeds. Whilst there wasnt a fight for any, it would have been nice to lounge about by the hotel a bit more than we did. And one or two were a little worn. But what they did have was quality in the sunbeds and parasols., as well as some nice comfy sofas. I have kept in touch with the owners and saw in a recent background photo that they had got more sunbeds. Which is lovely that they take notice of feedback in a positive way and listedn to guests desires. They really wanted to please us.

The view was very nice and the beds were really comfortable.
The location is not great. it is a 25 minute walk into Nidti along a busy road.
The complex is in need of investment.
There is a lot of potential but a rethink would be timely.
Vasia and her team/family were just delightful people and she was always available to help with enquiries and assist. Vasia gave lots of helpful suggestions about places to visit on the island and was very quick to fulfil requests for extra pillows. Rooms were cleaned daily and the process was very unobtrusive. A limited range of great snacks and a good drinks menu including cocktails. There were always sunbeds available around the pool and the pool area never felt overcrowded at any time. A lovely shady area with comfortable seating for relaxing and reading or just enjoying a drink poolside. Easy access to a lovely little shady beach across the road when we wanted a change from the pool. Walking distance about 20 mins to the nearest town Nydri, for shopping and restaurants and bars.
Tea and coffee making facilities or even just a kettle in the rooms would have improved the experience. The availability of beakfast until 11 am ( but I only say this because I had 3 lazy teens in tow), the 8-10am availability not an issue for myself or hubby, even though I only ate breakfast once during the week. All in all, really very little by way of things to dislike, Vasia makes it impossible to be disatisfied as she attends to your every need, a lovely lady!
