Pros:

Ein super herzlicher Empfang. Schön gelegenes ruhiges Hotel. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und die Zimmer sehr groß. Das Frühstück war überschaubar, trotzdem für jeden etwas zu finden. Herrlich zum wandern.

Dead flies everywhere.
Pros:

The staff were friendly enough. The breakfast was nice, but limited/not refilled.

Cons:

There were around 50 dead flies in our room (Aurora cabin), they were on the bed, all of the floor and on the cabinets. I complained immediately about this, but there was no real effort to make amends. If I was charging guests €250 for one night, I would bend over backwards to make sure the room was clean, and do anything to rectify the situation. The cleaner wasn't available to clean the room, the receptionist offered, but it really seemed like i was putting her out. I ended up cleaning my €250 room myself. That being said, the bedding wasn't changed, and it just felt dirty. I understand that there are a lot of flies in Iceland around April, but they should not be getting in via the air vents, they should have meshes, plus, the room should be checked on the day of arrival.

Additional to this, there is very little privacy. I understand the whole point of a glass igloo is to look outside etc, but it wouldn't cost much to install some custom-made blinds on the lower half of the igloo/cabin.

Lastly, I did complain directly, asking for a 10% or partial refund, but all I got was an offer to return (with discount). I'm sorry, but considering what happened when we were there, I don't exactly want to spend more money with them, if I was to return to Iceland.

Of the 12 hotels/airbnbs we stayed at in Iceland, this was the most expensive, dirtiest, and most disappointing. Such a shame, because it was meant to be the highlight.

Beautiful, modern hotel with excellent comfort and cleanliness
Pros:

This is a lovely, newly built hotel with a beautifully designed interior. The rooms are exceptional, and the provided skincare products (shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner) are of high quality. The bed is very comfortable, and both the room and bathroom are spacious. The bathroom is nicely designed, and the entire property is maintained to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness (even by my quite high standards).
The breakfast is very delicious.
We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

lovely, quiet clean accomodation
Pros:

Dinner and breakfast were great and our rooms were lovely and clean and comfy! The slighly spicy chicken soup we had at dinner was honestly one of the tastiest things we had on this vacation! Location was quiet and such a nice view!

Cons:

Room keys were attached to massive wooden blocks which were a bit annoying to cart around when not in the room -- would suggest that the hotel downsize to something less large for their room keys.

Jederzeit wieder, waren bestens zufrieden.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war bestens, auch die Suppen am Abend waren sehr lecker. Die Lage wunderschön in der Natur, nur etwas schwer zu finden. Jederzeit gerne wieder.
