Hotel Godafoss

Great location! Can walk to the falls and not pay parking. Great souvenir shop next door and hotel staff were super friendly and helpful.

Lili was a delightful host. The rooms were clean and quiet. Once you step outside you can hear the fallls. It actually gets dark enough there to be able to see the northern lights

A good night’s stay. Enjoyed restaurant.

Great breakfast and the location is unbeatable when the Aurora is out and you want to photograph it with the waterfall.

Excellent staff and property. We asked about northern lights and they came to wake us at midnight upon our request to go outside and see them.

Unique experience near falls. Weather was beautiful and sunny (people wearing tank tops), was told this was unusual. Unfortunately, I was catching up on sleep and didn't wake up early to walk near the falls. Would be a great place to stay to take night aurora pictures. However, rooms very dated/stuffy, food very expensive (one tortilla with some chicken and peppers cost $30--ridiculous) and isolated to do anything other than Godafoss (which is packed with tourists and buses all day), so be wary of this. I actually cut my stay short one day (no refund) to explore other areas, so be aware of limiting your driving around the ring road and prioritizing what to see. I would actually stay here again if available, but for one day on my trip around.

We loved the property's location across from Godafoss waterfall. We found that our room was located in a small building next to the main building. The room and bath were rather small and the beds were a bit hard. It had a charm to it but not the most comfortable stay we have had here in Iceland.

There was a super friendly staff that specifically stood out. His name is Arthur I believe? I could be misspelling his name but it sounded like Arthur. He helped us by providing a few recommendations and suggestions during our stay and was very friendly.

We were in the yellow side building. Our room was very small. The bathroom was tiny and had the smallest sink I have ever seen in my life- slightly larger than my hand- hard to wash your face. Hotel is right across from Godafoss waterfall- not in the town area of Laugar. Paid extra for breakfast and it was very nice- even had a choose your own espresso machine. Dated decor. Shower very slippery but so small chances are good you won’t fall.

This pls e is awesome. We stayed on the suite with the view of godafoss and it did not disappoint.

The location is very good. You can see Goðafoss Waterfall in the hotel.

The location is right across from Godafoss. The hotel itself is clean and has comfortable beds. Breakfast was sufficient. It’s pretty basic on amenities but comfortable. Would recommend.
