The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The location was lovely. Food great.

Fresh and refurbished room with a lovely view from the window of the countryside. Brilliant bathroom with lots of towels, very comfortable bed, super bedding, and perfect purpose-designed lights for reading in bed. A very quiet location despite the proximity of the A19, and the hotel itself had a careful charm, and very welcoming staff. Ate one evening and enjoyed the bar meal range, but didn’t breakfast, partly because it was an additional £25 per person.
Could have preferred an all-in more generous breakfast quote, as we have enjoyed elsewhere on this tour.
A lovely character property with beautiful decor and grounds. Had a lovely stay, staff were very professional and attentive- nothing was too much trouble, even had a personalised card and chocs for our anniversary 😊. Breakfast and dinner were superb too

A fabulous Country hotel with luxury throughout and a quiet ambience, which was exactly what we were looking for.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff throughout were first class.
Lovely country walks with a lovely farm shop and local pub within easy walking distance and the local town of Yarm also worth a visit.

The staff were very welcoming and the location was ideal and easy to reach. The breakfast was very varied to meet all taste and included a good hearty full English, my husband and grandson had it and said it was delicious and most importantly hot and freshly cooked. There was a nice selection of fruit and pastries also.

The building was full of character due to its age. Some people may find this off-putting, but this is something that I prefer. The only downside was the shower over the bath, which made it a little difficult for my wife. That said, the room was fantastic.
It’s and old building and everything internally and externally is in keeping with its age.
Beautiful building, staff were absolutely lovely, 10/10 breakfast service. Catered very well for gluten free and vegetarian diets. My toddler was also very welcomed. It was our qedding night and the hotel gave us a card and gift which was lovely.
Only thing that could have been improved would be if bathrobes were provided in the rooms and more Herbal tea selection, very minor things.

Absolutely loved our stay here, everything was amazing, the staff were all so lovely and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable beds.
They were fantastic with my children, we stayed here with a dog, she was given a sausage for breakfast, they provided a dog bed, treats, and bowls.
I will definitely return!
Location and the staff who were a joy to deal with.
The oak panelling and doors need some TLC to keep the building looking fresh.
