Stylish hotel, well-equiped, clean, pleased we chose it.

Breakfast/OK Weren't there long enough to sample all the facilities

Cons:

Impossible to get a taxi or transport from the station, had to rely on a good Samaritan. Hauling cases upstairs.

Pros:

Superbe ambiance authentique servie par un édifice ancien, très bien entretenu avec une décoration parfaitement choisie car très adaptée au lieu sans jamais tomber dans le vieillot. Les chambre sont calmes, confortables, propres. L'établissement est vivant, notamment en soirée, et il très bien situé.

Cons:

Les chambres ne sont pas immenses même si elles restent confortables et fonctionnelles.

In all a good hotel let down by the restaurant .
Pros:

Liked the fact it was a character hotel not a corporate hotel.
The staff were friendly.
The location was good

Cons:

The restaurant was a big let down as in it wasn’t a proper dinning restaurant of an evening just the same menu as the lunchtime snack bar.
The breakfast we felt was not worth the 16 euros per person.

Very enjoyable stay, we will definitely use again if returning to Cognac.
Pros:

Great location, very central and nice to use as a base to walk around town. Invited friends to the hotel bar for drinks and food.

Cons:

Our second stay had us in a easy-access room which was not so good for us.
