The location on a tiny island could have been wonderful (though our room was facing the car park)
One member of staff - in the bar - tried to be helpful when we needed reception and there was no-one there.
On arrival, snow and compacted ice had been left uncleared outside the entire entrance, even though many hours had passed since the snow fell.
Checking in was not till 4.00 and when we asked to leave our luggage earlier we were immediately invited to pay 200 Krone for early check in.
Our room was ground floor, facing the public car park, with no net curtain to screen us in daylight. As a result we had to keep the curtains drawn and lights on while dressing.
There was no kettle or drinks provision in the room. We couldn't get a tea or coffee anywhere in the hotel unless we paid. Normally in Norway we have either been given a kettle or access to a public area where we could make a drink.
Only one pillow each was provided. It's normal practice to find a couple of spare pillows in a wardrobe - as there were none we asked (after a long wait to find a receptionist) if we could be supplied with two more. We were grudgingly told she'd see if she could find any. (She did, thankfully, but it felt like we'd misbehaved).
Our general impression from the staff and the accompanying lack of care was that we were not welcome. There was no sense that the hotel wished to look after us - only to take as much money as they could. Which indeed they did - this was the most expensive and by far the worst hotel we have found in Norway.

Het goede ontbijt en de gezellige ontbijtzaal bevielen ons het meest.
De ontvangst was niet hartelijk. Personeel achter de balie is niet service gericht.

Die Lage war sehr gut, da es sehr zentral war und auch schön gelegen auf einer kleinen "Insel". Das Frühstück war ein grosses Buffet und war sehr fein. Das Zimmer war sauber und schön.
