Lovely hotel in a stunning location
Pros:

The room was amazing and very comfortable even had a small outside area to sit in.

Cons:

They couldn’t fit us in for dinner because they had a coach load ‘unexpectedly’ coming in. We went to their sister hotel bar and had a brilliant meal

Pros:

Perfect location with a wonderful view of the Fistral beach. There were plenty of activities available to keep the little kids entertained. Food was great and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Cons:

There were some unexpected challenges with accommodating us at the restaurant for breakfast (which we had pre-booked). However, the staff tried their best to find a solution and ensured they took our requests into consideration.

Pros:

hotel welcoming as expected, great location, however my parking was cancelled day before arrival
Pros:

staff are very welcoming, they work hard and long hours

Cons:

breakfast buffet was a messy disaster, very poorly presented, never replenished, not enough staff to manage the area full of families. Staff very busy and I understand they have no time for everything

Pros:

The location is perfect, it is literally next to Fistral beach! The beach library is a nice addition!

I really liked the internal play area next to the restaurant.

Cons:

1. The parking is a massive problem. Even though there are a few parking spaces, the free spaces will be occupied, and the other ones you will need to pay a daily fee for. Therefore roadside parking is the only option, which can also be tricky.

2. There is NO AIR CON in the rooms! I didn't even think that could be possible in 2026.

3. As soon as we opened the door, a pee smell hit us in the face. We did book the accomodation during the hottest period, however we shouldn't have smelled anything still.

4. The sofa bed is a complete joke! The mattress wasn't even flat! My toddler wasn't complaining, but it didn't look confortable.

5. During May half term, there were quite a lot of good activities advertised. For example, cinema with popcorn included - unfortunately they didn't have the popcorn, or the movie on some of the days. We have also tried to attend the board game event, but unfortunately it wasn't an organised event. We were directed to a shelf with various books and board games - it would have been nice to have all the pieces or a dice so we can actually play.

6. Eating at the restaurant - the first night we haven't booked a table, but we decided to eat in their restaurant (without a booking). We were waiting 20 min for a table, while the restaurant was 60% empty. The second night, we got a booking, but we did arrive 8 minutes earlier, which the restaurant's manager did point out and made us wait again while the restaurant was pretty much empty. At this point my husband did ask "Which table are we waiting for, as most of them are empty!". At this point, the manager explained that they try to sit people by the window. It would be nice and advisable to maybe start the conversation with " There is a 15 min wait for window seating, otherwise feel free to sit at any other table". We were with a hungry toddler, we really didn't care about the table's location.

Cons:

While the hotel has some positive aspects, there were a few issues that affected the overall comfort of our stay.
The rooms were quite noisy, as sounds from other rooms and the hallway could be heard easily. Guests staying on the first floor may also notice noise from rooms above, including footsteps.
The mattress was firmer than we prefer, and the pillows seemed somewhat worn. The rooms do not have air conditioning, only a fan, and during our stay the room felt quite warm.
As a result, it was difficult to get the level of rest and relaxation we had hoped for.

Lovely weekend.
Pros:

We stayed in the Roxy Room and the view was beautiful. The bathroom and especially the bath were beautiful, very comfy bed! We used the hot tub, pool and sauna which was very relaxing. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely relaxing get away - the view of the beach in the morning was just perfect!

Cons:

Short walk into Newquay town but is easy to navigate. On very busy days parking can be difficult. The hotel offer parking spots to reserve and I think it would have been worth doing. But on street parking is fine when quieter.

Pros:

This was a disaster from the first time we arrived they said there is no space for parking our car and they were a lots of them free and to park on the street. Then we left a koala bear in the room we called after few hours and they said they didn’t find it!
