A great place to spend a night in Kampala and much more interesting than a bland chain hotel.
Pros:

Good breakfast with fresh fruits. Friendly staff, peaceful and green atmosphere despite being in a capital city. Quirky decor and rooms which were appealing and had character. Good for a family as we all shared one cottage.

Cons:

This probably isn't the hotel's fault, but someone must have either hacked them or booking.com as prior to my visit I kept getting whatsapp messages from random phone numbers (including USA and India) of people claiming to be forest cottages admin staff who required confirmation of my booking. I wasn't stupid enough to give these people my bank card details as Booking.com had already confirmed the booking, but it was annoying. I told hotel staff about this who seemed to already be aware of the issue.
