Horrible experience, poor service—can’t help but think it was because we were foreigners.
Cons:

The hotel is good, however when we tried to
renew our stay, a man by the name of Daniel told
us there was no room. He suggested a B&B we
were unfamiliar with that belonged to the hotel.
We went to that B&B with all our heavy luggage in
the hot sun just to shocked that there was no lift.
We met a lady who placed us on the third floor,
even though she was aware of all we had to carry.
We arrive to our dirty, dusty room, passing dirty,
dusty stairs. It was as if a ghost was living there
since it seemed no one had been there in months.
We immediately felt like we should leave being
met with dusty curtains, tables and beds with
bedding strewn around messily. We had to renew
our booking all over again, passing those filthy
stairs all for the woman to say to us our deposit
was non-refundable. We went back to the first
hotel and met a man in the reception, very rudely
asking my daughter why we would come back
with all our luggage-and at that time there were
no vacancies in the entire city! After that, we had
no other option than to leave for Catania and find
accommodation there. The people were unhelpful
and standoffish. My advice is that; if the hotel is
full and they refer you to their B&B, save your
money for a clean place!

Ok for a short stay
Pros:

Location good for sea walls “promenading” and close to all the beauty of Ortigia

Cons:

Whilst it should be vintage it feels old-fashioned with dated decor. Bad pillows !

Pros:

Lovely classic hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location in Ortigia. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

The plumbing in the hotel was a little like faulty towers. The tap had an air block and kept spraying out water (hot and cold) the shower was hot one minute then freezing.
The cleaning of the room wasn't great.

Posizione ottima così come la colazione. La vista, purtroppo, era su una stradina buia.

Cons:

Il comportamento dello staff a proposito del garage.
Mi è stato consigliato il loro garage per un costo di 25 €. (nonostante avessi posteggiato la macchina al "Talete") per poi dirmi che ogni volta che avrei preso la macchina avrei dovuto pagare 5 €.
Ne è sorto un piccolo diverbio con il proprietario e questo è stato veramente spiacevole.

Lovely stay with a great view
Pros:

Great view, we had a room with a small balcony facing a sea. Also very welcoming staff, gave us a lot of good recommendations.

Cons:

It was a bit hot inside - while the room had A/C, it is central so we were not able to adjust it. Not sure how it would work in hotter time of the year.
