Royal Apartments

Please double check with the owner on the dates and price. I personally called him, texted him, and got the confirmation of 2 rooms for 3 nights. But still he cancelled one after 2 days. We had to manage in one suite. I explained the whole details of our members. But somehow he made a mess. So, better double check with him before you go there.

El apartamento tiene un mantenimiento muy deficiente, el agua caliente no funcionaba y aunque es agosto hace muchísimo frío. Sólo hay un pequeño calefactor en una de las habitaciones. Tiramos un colchón en el suelo de la habitación y dormimos todos juntos, yo no me quité la chaqueta La limpieza era peor de lo que nadie se puede imaginar, había colillas de otros huéspedes en el pollete de la ventana del lavabo y la cocina daba cosa tocar nada. No soy muy exigente pero este supera lo imaginable.

**Noise Levels**: One of the most significant drawbacks was the loud noise from parties that went on until past midnight. This was particularly challenging for our family, as we had a 2-year-old and elderly grandparents with us. It made it difficult for everyone to get a good night's sleep.

**Inadequate Amenities**: In one of the apartments, we found a lack of a fridge, which was quite inconvenient. Having basic kitchen amenities is crucial, especially for families requiring easy access to food storage.

**Cleanliness Issues**: We encountered dirty bedsheets in one of the rooms, which is simply unacceptable. Additionally, the sofa and carpets appeared unclean, detracting from the overall comfort of the space.

**Aged Decor**: The decor felt very dated, and the walls and paint were in need of a refresh. This made the atmosphere feel less inviting and more neglected than one would hope for in a holiday rental.

**Temperature Control**: The rooms were quite cold and smelled super musty, with noticeable gaps between the windows and doors that allowed drafts to enter. This made it uncomfortable, especially during the chilly nights in Nuwara Eliya.

**Hot Water Supply**: Lastly, we faced issues with the hot water supply, as the water ran cold during showers. This was quite disappointing and inconvenient, particularly when traveling with young children and elderly family members.

In summary, while Royal Apartments has potential due to its location, the noise, cleanliness, decor, and maintenance issues significantly impacted our stay. I hope management sorts this out for future guests.

No warm water in the washrooms, room heating was not enough .

Nebuvo rankšluosčių, informacinėje lentoje teigė,kad taikomas papildomai mokestis už naudojimąsi lėkštėmis,nors nuomojamas visas apartamentas. Deje, stalo įrankių visiškai nebuvo. Taip pat nebuvo ir prausimosi priemonių.
Uodų tikimybe didelė,kad bus.naudoti tinklelį jei tik įmanoma.

Heating should be way better. Building seems a bit neglected. Water dripping in through the roof etc

The heater wasn't sufficient for two rooms and hot water wasn't available for a majority of our stay.
Hot water is definitely essential for a cold climate in the area. Hope it gets fixed.

Well, definitely not the best place I’ve stayed at. Everything felt kind of worn out. Right after we arrived, we ran into a couple of issues—first of all, there was no warm running water, so we had to go shower in the room next door. Then the kitchen pipe broke while we were doing the dishes and flooded the whole floor… and that actually happened twice.
