The location and the estate are beautiful. Which in a way made our terrible experience there even worse.

Cons:

I booked the suite for a special romantic occasion, but the room they tried to give us was nothing like the photos or descriptions; just a fairly small room crowded with 4 beds in it and a fireplace. I refused the room and they told me the “other” suite (the one I had viewed the photos of, read the description about, booked, and just paid for) was already occupied. After it became clear that they were not going to honour the reservation, and were not going to give us the suite we had booked, I reluctantly demanded a refund and we left. Leaving us in a very difficult position for our special romantic occasion. Overall, I’m incredibly disappointed. Don’t trust the photos or descriptions for this hotel, and don’t expect them to honour your reservation upon arrival. Go with caution.
