Pros:

Beautiful quite place with private beach. Boats, surfboards and bicycles included! Owner has two cute cats, which hanging around.

We came as guests, we left as family and for sure we will come there again.
Pros:

The most wonderful hosts we ever met. Ana and her son, Vladimir, made us feel as family from the moment we arrived, and their kindness and positive energy felt our hearts with love and joy every day during our stay there. About their hotel, the location is perfect with a wonderful view over the Bay of Kotor, which we enjoyed from the terrace but also from our bed. We loved the mountains surrounding the sea, reflected in the water, the morning and the evening sunlight, the moon and the lights of the nights magically lightening the sea. The private beach is right in front of the hotel, with sun-beds, kayaks and paddle boards we could used for free, as a courtesy of our great hosts. The old city center of Kotor is situated at a walking distance from the hotel, we enjoyed the long walks along the sea, to the city center (there are supermarkets nearby and a lot of terraces along the sea shoreline).

Perfect stay, perfect place perfect people
Pros:

Alles!! De prachtige locatie, het uitzicht, de fijne kamer, het heerlijke balkon, het privé zwemplekje met alle leuke sups en kano's. Maar vooral de liefste en meest behulpzame mensen die we ontmoet hebben. We voelden ons zo welkom hier. We hadden onze hond mee en ze waren ontzettend lief voor haar. Ik zou meteen weer boeken!

"The room with a view"
Pros:

As the title says, the apartment is in a fantastic location in every sense. Right by the sea, with its own little private beach literally on your doorstep. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. It’s about 3 km from the Old Town, which feels like the perfect spot in this case. Anything closer to the Old Town isn’t as good for swimming, while here you still have a beautiful seaside walking path to enjoy all the way there and back. Having your own beach is a big advantage in this area, as there aren’t many swimming spots.

The apartment is equipped with everything you might need (and even things you wouldn’t expect 😊). On top of that, you have free access to all the gear—SUP, kayak, bikes—which we used daily. We often cycled to the Old Town, parked the bikes, and continued on foot. The hosts are extremely kind and always available.

Cons:

The bathroom could use some renovation.

Wonderful hosts and beautiful view
Pros:

Ana, Vlad and Maxim were wonderful hosts. They were very kind, thoughtful and helpful. The apartment itself had the most amazing view and the balcony was wonderful. Inside, it was a little tired and cluttered, and the bed was very hard for us. The view and the wonderful hosts made our holiday perfect.

Pros:

If you value genuine hospitality and an amazing view well this is the place for you.
Anna and her sons Vladimir were amazing hosts. They have a Paddle board rental that guests can use for free. An amazing jetty to swim off, and a huge balcony to sit out on.

What a lovely safe place.

Anna also kindly washed and laundered our washing as we were traveling throughout montenegro 🇲🇪

Cons:

Our room was of older decor but we knew this in advance. Upon arrival Anna again gave us a choice of a more modern room, but we chose the one with the large frontal balcony, as for us, this is what was most important.

Pros:

Absolutely fantastic! The hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The beachfront location is paradise. We especially loved using the SUP board, canoes, and bicycles provided for guests. Highly recommend.

כל השהות, לאורך כל הדרך היתה מעולה! מרגע הגעתנו ועד הרגע שעזבנו קיבלנו יחס אישי. אנה והבנים דאגו לנו לכל מה שצריך, וסדרו לנו כל דבר שביקשנו. הדירה היתה מאובזרת בכל מה שרק אפשר וצריך. ממליצים בחום!!!

A fantastic location and lovely hosts.
Pros:

A fantastic location with a private pier / beach area and lots of items to use, such as SUP's, kayaks, sun beds , umbrellas, bicycles etc.

Ana and Vlad ( her son ) are lovely people who really look after you and welcome you like one of the family.

Dobrota is a perfect place to base yourself to stay out of the busy small town of Kotor, which is great but better to pop in and out of when the cruise ships arrive.

It's only a short walk into Kotor where there's loads of great restaurants and sights.

Warm Farewell and Last Beautiful Views of Kotor

From the moment Ana greeted me, the experience at ApartHotel Maxim felt like visiting old friends rather than simply checking into a hotel.
The room was spotless and beautifully arranged, with a private balcony that opened onto an unforgettable view of the Bay of Kotor. Direct access to the sea made it easy to slip into the water or wander along the promenade to the city centre.
Ana’s warmth was matched by her family’s helpfulness: her son Vlado kindly carried my luggage and even provided me with a bicycle to explore the town. On the morning of my very early departure, Ana insisted on seeing me off in person, a gesture that spoke volumes about her genuine care for guests.
Such hospitality, infused with sincerity and thoughtfulness, transforms a stay into a cherished memory.

Traumhafter Blick auf die Bucht von Kotor
Pros:

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und wieder begeistert. Dragana und ihre Söhne sind sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Jeder Wunsch oder Bitte wird sofert umgesetzt. Beispiel : Ich benötigte neue Reifen für mein Motorrad. Am nächsten Vormittag hatte ich sie drauf !! Die Motorräder standen sicher, worauf man auch achten sollte.

Das Apartment ist sehr groß und hat 3 Schlafzimmer, am schönsten übernachtet man jedoch im Wohnzimmer, das über große Türen den Blick auf die Bucht öffnen. Abends Sonnenuntergang und morgens das Einlaufen von Kreuzfahrtschiffen.
Auf dem Balkon fänden 20-30 Leute Platz.
Kühlschrank, Waschmaschine, Getränke, eigener 10m entfernter Wasserzugang mit Boot und Board - alles vorhanden.

Alles in allem wieder die schönste Unterkunft auf unserer Balkantour durch 13 Länder.

Wir kommen sicher wieder ! ! !

This apartment is nowhere near the 9 rating. On arrival, it was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. The fridge was filthy, shelves broken, and the icebox iced over. The kitchen sink and counters were grimy, and the bathroom showed no sign of proper cleaning — with leftover toiletries still present.
Cupboards contained old groceries, used slippers were left on the bedroom floor, and odd clutter like empty chocolate boxes was scattered around. Towels and bed linen were clean but extremely worn. The balcony was dirty, with dusty furniture and floor.
This felt like a just-vacated room, not one prepared for a guest. Comfort and cleanliness were well below standard. Additionally, my booking dates were changed without my input — a serious concern.

If you’re expecting a real 9.8 experience, this is not the place.
