Service
Fantastic run hotel in a beatiful location.
Maybe a litte overpriced.
Great location…. Quirky setup which we liked. Outdoor pool was amazing.
The food was not good. We had dinner the night we arrived. Starters were small and not tasty. Both of us had steaks for mains and they were not particularly tasty and overpriced. The baby potatoes served with them were overcooked, burnt and inedible. We also found the cooked breakfast was not very tasty, scrambled eggs did not taste like eggs at all however the buffet elements were nice . We had been warned by friends that the food wasn’t great which was disappointing.
Really special place, fantastic facilities and lovely staff.
The setting is fantastic!
The hotel is run in very unprofessional manner, young untrained staff members not really knowing what they are doing in the hospitality business,
The restaurant Bonny’s was a low standard of food especially on the breakfast which was one of the worst I’ve tasted in a very long time , this hotel is wanting to be a 4-5 hotel that is being run by inadequate Management ,
The hot tubs, outdoor pool, the views and the decor!
We were given a room facing the golf course. It was an anniversary celebration.
Everything, it was amazing. It’s the only hotel
I return to.
The bar manager served me and my wife Irish coffees without any cream. Instead of providing an alternative drink, he just said we have no cream and walked off. It’s not really a finished product without cream. It was a little odd given the standard of the place in general.
Fabulous outdoor pool, walk and playground
Our shower was only lukewarm- for the price of the hotel and it's standard I feel it should have been better.
Food options in the bar are only ok.
Breakfast is good very tasty but small portions
Gorgeous location & fabulous views. Food was delicious. Steaks in Bonnies were so tasty. Outdoor heated poor & outdoor hot tub were amazing. Staff very friendly.
The €100 deposit on check in was unnecessary I felt especially when we had fully paid for our accommodation before arrival with full payment being taken ahead of schedule.
I had requested a double & a single bed room & received confirmation that my request was granted but just one doubt in the room. Room was lovely and it was no big deal really.
€50 to use outdoor hot tub.
Tom’s bar menu had very limited choice.
I recently stayed at Glasson Lakehouse, and genuinely, almost everything about the experience was fabulous. The setting is stunning, the staff are warm and professional, and the whole place has that relaxed, respectful atmosphere that makes you feel looked after from the moment you arrive. The rooms, the food, the views — all absolutely top‑class.
There was one thing that really took away from the experience: the €100 security charge at check‑in. For a hotel of this standard, where everything feels so well‑run and respectful, the charge felt unnecessary and out of place. It’s not that the money is lost you get it back but it creates a tone that doesn’t match the rest of the stay. To be honest, it would put me off returning, and it would definitely put me off gifting someone a weekend away there. When you’re treating someone to a special stay, the last thing you want is them being hit with an unexpected €100 charge at the desk. It’s a fabulous hotel, but this policy really lets it down. If it were removed, I’d happily recommend Glasson Lakehouse to anyone
