Guest Reviews
There is not much to dislike about the property. Its location is so peaceful and tranquil, the log fires burning in the lobby and restaurant are cosy and atmospheric. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The outdoor heated pool is a lovely facility. We stayed in a classic room. It was spacious, spotless and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. There’s a play room for smaller toddlers.
I think the pool area would do well with a small shelter with hooks to hang towels and gowns because if it’s raining you have no choice but to leave your towels and robes in the rain. Also as an adult supervising a child you have to stand out in the rain. A small sheltered seating area would be good. Hot tubs are €50 per hour for a maximum of 4 people but for a couple or even a person on their own it’s a bit pricey. We had dinner in Bonnie’s. It was very good and service was very friendly and fast but I thought the menu could have had a bit more choice but that’s just a personal opinion and the breakfast continental buffet could be better with more variety. There were ample tea bags and coffee in the room but maybe a few sachets of hot chocolate would be a nice idea for the younger guests.
Loved the decor and vibe
Outdoor heated pool lovely and free bike hire. Room was nice. Food was good.
Extra charge for hot tubs. Extra charge for all side dishes on an already costly food menu. Poor breakfast service both mornings.
Laid back feeling
Rooms pretty pricey
Travelled with my 16month old. Plenty of indoor and outdoor play for kids, great heated outdoor pool (hottest early in the morning) all very welcoming. Fabulous Babysitter also available (regularly used by Hotel Guests) Used the Spa also, excellent 👌
Nothing, loved our stay
Staff were lovely, cosy ambiance, pub in the hotel is very cool. Hot tubs were broken but they called us to tell us in advance of our trip and they gave us two complimentary drinks which we really appreciated.
Bonnie’s restaurant is average. Food is fine but staff were very pleasant

Atmosphere was very relaxing. Grounds and view are breathtaking. Spa treatments were lovely. We felt so relaxed leaving after our stay. Staff were friendly.
Restaurant - No sandwich available on lunch menu when we arrived! Charged €6 for water for the table! Spa - it was cold in the spa.
The location is stunning, views are beautiful. Great area to go on walks. Very comfortable room.
Food/service (dinner/breakfast) was not great, especially for the steep price. One of the tap regulators in the bathroom fell off and the one in the shower was stuck on a setting that was too hot.
