Wonderful hotel in scenic setting.
Pros:

It was awesome! Beautiful location. Clean. Friendly. Wonderful breakfast with lots of variety. Would highly recommend.

It was clean, beautiful scenery around it, loved the hot tubs, cold plunge, saunas and steam room

Not much I didn’t like about it! It’s a bit far away from some of the stuff to the south, but still awesome things to see in this area

Clean and spacious room. Very good breakfast was included. Front desk staff was super nice.

Cons:

More hot tubs needed. Full every time hard to enjoy the spa when hot tubs are at full capacity after a long day hiking. Also, the dinner menu was limited and could offer more kid friendly food. The quality was decent.

Decent though expensive
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, the beds were comfy, and the room was reasonably sized. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of parking and the setting was quiet. It was an excellent place to base our first two days of exploration of this amazingly beautiful country.

Cons:

Wifi was the only real issue-- it was super spotty and slow in the room, something was definitely not working correctly given that there was a wifi booster box in the ceiling of our room, so there should've been plenty of signal, but there definitely wasn't. The only other thing is that the door closers on the room doors slammed all the doors so hard they would wake you up if your neighbor wasn't careful. This should/could be adjusted so that the doors close slowly for most of their travel only speeding up at the end for higher speed latching.

Relaxing stay with friendly staff and good restaurant. Easy to get to daytime activities nearby.
Pros:

Onsite restaurant was good with a friendly and helpful wait staff. The location was beautiful and close to nearby attractions like waterfalls and the hiking/glacier experience in Husafell. The soaking tubs were enjoyable

Cons:

If you plan to stay more than one or 2 nights, find another restaurant option. The food is good but the menu is limited. Finding another place would break it up.
