Everything was perfect
It was so quiet and clean and fantastic place
You get a lot of bang for your buck, a lot of amenities for low cost, especially in an area that is known to be rather pricey. The hotel breakfast offers a lot of choices for the category of hotel (fruit, muesli/cereal, cold cuts/cheese/spreads, eggs), the personnel is friendly, amicable and eager to assist. The dinners we ate at the hotel were tasty and came with a soup starter, as much salad from the salad bar as you wanted to eat, a main dish (meat, sides) and a dessert -- very convenient not having to go out and find a restaurant during busy season and after a long day out (though the cost for the dinners were a bit on the high-end, that is to be expected in the area and for a whole 3 courses every time). The beds were comfy, with 2 separate mattresses for the double bed. The bathroom and room in general was clean and neat, and house-keeping did a wonderful job maintaining the level of cleanliness throughout the property, supported by the fact that people were asked to wear slippers when moving about the house so as to avoid dragging in snow and salt. The hotel IS a family-, children- and youth-group location so in the evening, the hallways will be a bit louder than in your average hotel but we found that at night, it all quieted down quite nicely and the rooms were sound-insulated enough to not be woken by a toddler next door, for example. With the Wildschönau-Card, you have access to a free shuttle bus to and from a couple of skiing locations, so you can leave your car conveniently parked right in front of the hotel and not worry about driving in snowy or icy conditions. The shuttle leaves just down the road from the hotel, a 2 minute walk at most, and runs at least hourly for most of the day, during high times more often.
The WiFi signal was quite weak, even at night when not every kid and teen on premise was using it -- when during a bout of insomnia, the WiFi signal still dies on your phone at 3am, it needs a boost. As far as the dinner options went, maybe offering guests a choice between at least 2 meals would be a good idea rather than settling them all with the exact same courses (though that would require more foreplanning with sign-up sheets etc.). Last but not least, having an elevator available would aid accessibility (youth-groups in summer with kids that have mobility issues, an injured leg after a skiing accident, grandparents traveling with the family to enjoy time with their grandkids etc.) -- though I do understand that it is never easy to add an elevator to a building that wasn't designed with one in mind, it has been done in other places and is clearly not impossible. Though all of the above is 'Jammern auf hohem Niveau' (complaining on a high level) because I didn't give the place a rating of overall 9 for no reason!
Modern und sehr gemütliche Einrichtung des Apartments. Das gesamte dort arbeitendeTeam war unsagbar freundlich, wie auch Hr. Naschberger selber. Es gab kein Problem, das er nicht zu lösen wußte.
very family friendly and in a great location!
