Beautiful old mansion in the countryside, well kept. Good breakfast, very good dinner in the nice restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff
All good
This hotel easily could get the full score: very nice interior and surroundings. Beautiful rooms and many common rooms to spend time. Be aware that a busy street / highway is close by but this did not bother us. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast choice is okay for a 3 star hotel. Free bikes for rent to go to the nearby bathing place. Overall we very much recommend this hotel.
However, a few details are missing to make this hotel very good: it seems the whole breakfast is prepared at the start of the breakfast time and then neglected. We had breakfast at 9:15, it ends at 10:00. There were several fried eggs left but they all were cold and looked they were prepared along time ago. Pancakes (also almost cold) ran out at 9:30 and nobody bothered to refill them. AT 9:45 vacuum cleaning started in front of the breakfast room. At 9:50 we were asked if we want more food or if they could start removing the buffet. At that point still three tables had customers. I don't think that is good style.
The second not so nice point is that the reception closes at 17:00. There is no service after that. The two nights we were there the restaurant was closed. One, for example, cannot get a drink or snack in the evening. At least some self service offers or vending machines would have been nice. But these are only small points and the positive impression outweighs them by far.
Large comfortble room and excellent breakfast
The hotel which is an old wellkept country mansion is beautifully situated in a nicely kept park
Some noise from the radiators meant that we slept with ear plugs
Overall great place!
Great reception staff. Very elegant and nicely decorated room
Breakfast could be better. Noise from the motorway
We ate breakfast on the porch overlooking the Baltic Sea inlet. It was very pleasant and food selection was wonderful.
Our room on the the third floor had some low ceilings and was a bit small for the two of us and all our luggage. Next time we will only bring in the things we need, or ask for a bigger room.
Best former "palace" or manor house we have stayed in in Sweden, and we have stayed in 6-8 similar "type" of places. Service of staff very good. Facilities very clean and spacious. Our room had a canopy/four poster bed with clean and new curtains, very big in size with seating space, huge bathroom, had all necessary amenities and view of the water. Lots of common areas for guests - all clean and well-maintained. Restaurant had good food and service. Good breakfast. Lovely to walk around in the Sculpture park, green house where they grow grapes, tomatoes and cucumber. Near the church, too. can walk down or borrow their bikes for free to the water. Free parking for car. Very reasonable price room and breakfast. We are interested in history, so we were pleased to read the information they have in the brochures. There is nothing not to like. We are very happy to have experienced staying in Stjärnholmsslott and look forward to returning someday.
Nothing to dislike. Everything is just likeable. Hope they keep same level of service. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
