Overall we enjoyed it there.
Pros:

Location was great. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Breakfast could have been better . Toast with the breakfast could have been toasted more. Bacon very hard to chew

Very central. Amazing breakfast.
Pros:

Close to shops and restaurants.

Cons:

The stair leading to the first floor bedrooms was very dark and lighting didn’t come on until you were half way down which made it difficult to see. Also the central heating in the bedroom didn’t work. A stand alone heater was provided but didn’t want to leave on when out the room so every time you entered the bedroom it was cold.

Pros:

Beautiful room and spotlessly clean

Cons:

It was freezing cold. Heating didnt work. We had a small heater but the bathroom was freezing. We did report it to staff on the first day but no one came to see us. February in Inverness without heating is unpleasant

Perfect stay for a quick visit to Inverness
Pros:

Good location and excellent value for a last minute booking. The ladies that attended us at both check-in and check-out were absolutely lovely. Perfect for a short stay in Inverness!

Cons:

The noises of the wooden floors from the above and adjacent rooms were strange and annoying at first but we kinda got use to it

RECOMENDABLE POR UBICACION PERO UN POCO RUIDOSO Y TORCIDO. NO VAYAN CON AUTO.

Ubicacion y el estilo del hotel: clasico pub pero con habitaciones arriba. Desayuno aceptable. Personal muy amable.

Cons:

Ofrecen estacionamiento pero es a dos cuadras. La habitacion que nos toco chillaba todo el piso de madera (como un barco) y estaba torcido el piso del baño, y en algunas zonas de la habitacion habia huecos por debajo de las maderas. Las camas incomodisimas y a la noche salian los borrachos a la calle a gritar hasta al menos la 1am.

We had a wonderful stay at Blackfriars Hotel and I can honestly say it exceeded all our expectations.

From the very first moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. The staff is absolutely outstanding: professional, attentive, always smiling and genuinely caring about every detail of your stay. Their hospitality really makes the difference and creates a very special atmosphere.

The breakfast is simply excellent – one of the best we’ve had during our travels. Fresh, varied, high-quality products, beautifully presented and with plenty of choice for every taste. It’s the perfect way to start the day.

The hotel itself is charming, clean, comfortable and well located, but what truly makes Blackfriars exceptional is the human side: the people who work there make you feel not like a guest, but like a valued friend.

Top welcome, top service, top experience.
We will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where quality and kindness go hand in hand.

Graham was a fabulous host and couldnt have done more for me during my stay. The room and everything was excellent, very comfortable and high quality.
