Cali style Cornwall stay, perfect for families
Pros:

Really lovely style, appreciated the whole design - from the pool tiles, the blanket on the bed, the artwork to the multi-colour coffee cups. It all felt very California! Fantastic location, easy to drive everywhere and with Porth beach an easy 10-min walk down the hill, and gorgeous Watergate Bay a 20-min walk along the stunning cliff top path. We also spent an evening at nearby Lusty Glaze which was fab.

Pool and jacuzzi were great, and appreciated the child free swimming hours before 9am and after 7pm. Food and coffee in the cafe was great for breakfast. We didn’t try the restaurant but sat outside and had a cocktail which was lovely.

Beds were comfy, lighting was well considered, all amenities covered, lovely smelling shower gel, stunning sea views (including from the jacuzzi), friendly staff. Perfect for families. Plenty of parking. Would love to come back!

Cons:

So much to love here! Overall very clean but doors from cafe and up to rooms could do with a clean - they felt a bit sticky, likely due to sun lotion (it was hot the week we stayed). Small thing though as everything else outstanding.

A place of calm and comfort in busy Newquay
Pros:

It was a great location and had all the facilities you need as a family.

Cons:

The only tiny thing to note is that you do need to sweep a lot of sand! But it’s to be expected.

Pros:

Everything was just perfect for our one night stay, stopover. We love Watergate Bay Hotel and this had the same standard without the price....

We had our dog, Stan with us and he was given a great welcome too.

Plenty of space to walk him and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

We will certainly be back.

Perfect spot!!
Pros:

The perfect, perfect spot for the group holiday we were on! Already planning on coming back to stay with the kids as looks like the perfect set up for kids too! Loved the food especially, and waking up to sea views every day

Pros:

Cons:

Sometimes the cafe area was quite busy, so was hard to find a seat and slightly longer wait times, as it’s not exclusive for guests and no priority area or ordering for guests staying.

Ort der Entspannung
Pros:

Die Unterkunft war viel schöner als gedacht. Mein Zimmer und das Bad waren äusserst grosszügig geschnitten, sehr sauber, modern und einfach zum wohlfühlen. Die Aussicht im zweiten Stock war toll und die Umgebung ruhig und entspannend.
Das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend, ein Plus war das es ein Café und abends auch ein Restaurant gab, da es ohne Auto doch schwierig gewesen wäre, essen zu gehen.
Pool und Spa Gegend waren gepflegt, sauber und einladend.
Vor dem Hotel lässt es sich gut wandern und den Strand geniessen.
Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt genossen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Cons:

Ohne Auto ist es doch schwierig irgendwohin zu kommen, da es nur einen Bus pro Stunde gibt.
Die Tücher im Poolbereich werden zur Verfügung gestellt, was natürlich toll ist, aber ich fände es wirtschaftlicher, wenn die Tücher aufs Zimmer genommen werden könnten, damit sie am nächsten Tag abermals gebraucht werden könnten.

Our studio apartment was perfect in every way for our needs… it was clean with all the little touches for making our stay comfortable… e.g. hand and body wash, milk and tea/coffee for our use and it was a real bonus we were facing the sea and had access to a pool… so thank you for everything

Pros:

The facilities were great. We loved the pool and restaurant and cafe. The staff were lovely and friendly.

Cons:

Once we had checked in and went to the room, there was a musky smell in the two bedroom apartment that we had booked.
We quickly noticed that none of the windows opened so there wasn’t any way to get fresh air into the apartment. You could smell the previous visitors. It was very offputting.
Even with aircon, it was really stuffy and we struggled not being able to open a window.

The next thing we noticed was there was nowhere to hang our coats - there should be a hook behind the door or on the wall near the door as this was a problem.

There also wasn’t anywhere in the ensuite to put any products not even to put your toothbrush. There has to be a shelf or something installed in the ensuite bathroom, particularly for toothbrushes, face wash make-up et cetera. It was lacking.
The internal ensuite also couldn’t handle the steam from the shower so the fan was massive overwhelmed and constantly dripped - it was placed above the toilet so we had to use the toilet in the main bathroom.

The beds were very uncomfortable - really hard and the pillows were really soft so we all woke up with sure backs and necks.

The view from the first floor was very restricted so we were looking out on to the roof from every window for about 2/3rds of the view.
