Cons:

Vi skulle bo fyra nätter under Gothia Cup. Mycket har varit bra och de flesta i personalen är otroligt trevliga och vänliga. Tyvärr överskuggades hela vistelsen av en mycket tråkig upplevelse.

När vi bokade via Booking.com markerade vi tydligt att vi reste med husdjur. Trots det blev vår tolvårige son, som var ensam på rummet en morgon, konfronterad av en engelsktalande receptionist med flera städare i bakgrunden. Han fick höra att vi inte fick ha hund på rummet. Att välja att ta en sådan diskussion med ett barn istället för att kontakta en vuxen först är, enligt vår mening, helt oacceptabelt.

När vi senare kom tillbaka till rummet blev vi uppringda och informerade om att vi skulle debiteras en extra städkostnad på 1 000 kr eftersom hund inte var tillåten i just det rum vi hade fått. Vi utgår från att när vi anger att vi reser med husdjur vid bokningen blir vi placerade i ett rum där husdjur är tillåtna. Först då fick vi veta att vi dessutom borde ha kontaktat hotellet direkt och bokat en särskild rumstyp. Den informationen framgår inte tydligt på Booking.com. Där står endast att en eventuell avgift för husdjur kan tillkomma, vilket vi naturligt antog skulle hanteras vid in- eller utcheckning.

Vi hade inte försökt dölja att vi hade hund. Hunden var med vid incheckningen och följde även med till hotellets restauranger. Vi hade därför ingen anledning att tro att något var fel.

Vi hade dessutom förbokat parkering via hotellet men fick parkeringsböter på 600 kr varje dag bilen stod där. Den delen lovade hotellet att lösa, men städavgiften stod fast.

Den samlade upplevelsen blev så negativ att vi valde att avbryta vistelsen en dag i förtid och åka hem. Det känns väldigt tråkigt, särskilt eftersom mycket annat under vistelsen faktiskt var bra.

Jag är oerhört besviken över hur både Booking.com och Jacy’z hanterade situationen. Vi hamnade som kunder mitt emellan två parter som hänvisade till varandra. Vi har bokat många hotell genom Booking.
