The booking process was easy, check in was smooth, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Exactly what was needed!
I stay in many well run prem inns across the UK & you learn to accept a fairly uniform standard with prem inns. "You know what you are paying for". What makes the difference is the interaction from the people and I must say on this occasion Emma (although possibly management and seemed very busy) stood out with her attention to service, took the time and made me feel welcome as a person, not just a number or another guest.
Super comfortable beds and pillows. Right size room. Bathroom with tub. Silence, no outside noises. Perfect for a couple with a baby
Fab location for parkrun tourism, only 5 minutes from the start of Chester parkrun.
The hotel is a little tired and needs updating but don’t let this put you off. It’s very clean and the staff are superb. Diane was super helpful and made it feel more like a B&B. Breakfast was brilliant, loads of choice and plenty of it. It’s located next to the Mill pub, which served some good beers and on a bus route into the city and only £4 in an uber.
Definitely be staying there again when we visit our son at Uni
A lovely little hotel which is a perfect distance to the zoo and a park and ride.
Staff were so friendly.
The hotel accommodates for breakfast only, but there is a lovely pub next door who serve lovely pub food.
On this occasion on arrival, we were told that there was a problem with the hot water and it was going to be fixed. The lady who was on duty at the time, gave us a breakfast a free breakfast for the next morning. She didn’t need to, but it was a nice gesture :)
Breakfast is lovely too. With a selection of cooked or continental.
There is also a Morrisons around the corner, a great place to get fuel and food if you’re planning on continuing your trip on the road.
Also lots of car parking spaces, but you will need to validate your parking once checked in at the hotel.
Will definitely be booking again :)
My wife and I stayed at this venue from 18th October until 23rd. From the moment we walked through the door the staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful.
The hotel is very clean and tidy. The room was perfectly fine for our stay.
The location is perfect for Chester City centre or visiting further afield with plenty of free parking.
We would recommend this hotel and we must give a special thank you to Emma in reception.
All you would expect at a Premier Inn, so quite happy with that. There is a pub (The Mill) on the same site but breakfast is served in a modest sized breakfast room within the hotel itself. All good with the usual option of self-serve full English or Continental. However, it would not take that many guests to get packed out.
Decent sized and easily accessible free car park for guests. Adjacent to a Morrisons supermarket which was handy for us, allowing convenient purchase of food and drink for the day's walking activities.
Another plus was the convenient location. A bus stop right outside the hotel with a frequent service to the edge of Chester city centre. Buses running back to the stop opposite the hotel up until around 11pm at night,
We stayed here as we were visiting Chester Zoo the following day.
All staff were so friendly and we have a little girl, they were excellent with her.
We had breakfast and it was also delicious!
Plenty of car parking and easy to sign your car in at reception so parking was free.
About 8 minutes away from the zoo and easy drive.
Will stay here again when visiting the zoo.
Lovely hotel.
Big room . Supply of a fan which was good for me. Yipee
Had the best breakfast this morning than any other prem inn.
Clean tidy. Supply off food always replenished.
Cook breakfast tasty ,again well presented.
Thanks to the 2 lovely ladies running the restaurant.
Deserves a treat.....

We came to stay at very short notice, as our son was rushed into the Cardiac ward at the hospital across the road. We had to transact two separate bookings as the website wouldn’t allow us to book 4 consecutive nights and Diane on reception was so kind and meticulous ensuring that we had a lovely quiet room and a seamless stay, minimising the stress for us, not having to transfer rooms.
The room was spotless, with everything we needed, wonderful beds and extra pillows in the room already as required. Again, Diane helped us with breakfast and ensured there was a table reserved for us so that we could visit or son as early as possible.
Thank you to the Manager and to all of the lovely staff, but most especially to Diane whose care, compassion, kindness & dedication to her role made a terribly worrying time far less stressful and bearable.
Thank you Premier Inn and to Diane, we love you, you’re one in a million! Xx
The facilities were very adequate for our 3 night stay, though the premises could benefit from a revamp, particularly outside.
We arrived at approximately 9pm and on first appearance the hotel looked clean and had plenty of parking. The receptionist was lovely.
On entering the room we were met with very warm humid air as if the shower had been left on.
We propped the door open and opened the window to air the room.
The beds were already made up and my 2 teenage sons chose between the sofa bed and the trunky bed. The latter was not a very good choice, even with just my 9 stone son on it, you could feel every rib and frame through the mattress.
We were too tired (having walked several miles that day) and tried to just get the best night's sleep we could. Throughout the night though the temperature in the room did not drop below 24 degrees even with 2 fans and the window open. We were literally wet through with perspiration, to the extent that at 3am I had to get a shower to cool down and my 2 sons and myself went to sit in the car to cool down (14 degrees outside temp at 4am). We had been waking every 30 minutes to an hour because we were so hot.
Upon passing reception to go to the car, the male night receptionist (who was very understanding) asked us if we were ok and if we were checking our early, but once we had told him the situation he agreed that the heating/fan wasn't working in most rooms and that the desk fans they supplied were inadequate (even on full power). Even reception had several fans on.
He did offer us some refreshments but we declined as we had already drank approximately 2 litres of water each in the night.
We returned to the room a few hours later and even with the door propped open the temperature was unpleasant.
We were booked in for breakfast, which was the usual Premier Inn style, but we were astounded that there were on 30 seats in the breakfast area and even with the booking system, if your party exceeded 4 persons you had to stand and wait till they could find tables to accommodate you (sometimes not together) which was very strange. We heard at least 2 parties complaining.
So not the great night's sleep we have had at other premier Inns.
Why are the mattresses not the same in all premier Inns. The ones at Heathrow are super comfy.
The bathroom door frame was battered and scratched. The bathroom walls were all cracked with screw holes showing. There were wrappers on the floor beside the bed. The desk was wobbly and not secure. The panel behind the TV was also loose and vibrated when you turned the sound on the TV. So we couldn't watch the TV.
We explained all this to the night receptionist and were advised to contact premier inn and leave this revue and he would forward this to the day manager, but nothing could be done.
Not heard anything from the manager and we left at approximately 10am feeling extremely tired.
Lovely clean hotel and comfy bed, fantastic breakfast and perfectly situated with local amenities just a stones throw away.
Stayed for a few nights to visit Chester zoo. Staff were really friendly, breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Room was lovely and clean couldn't fault anything will definitely come and stay here again.
Nice service, good access to Coventry.
Stayed for a Saturday night, great access to Coventry Town centre with a bus or about 20-25 minute walk.
No aircon which was tricky on a hot day, next to a busy pub. Unfortunately for us someone parked at the pub was beeping on and off for about 30 minutes. As we had to have the window open due to the heat, alongside the noise we didn't sleep well unfortunately. Bed was okay, didn't feel as nice as I remember a premier inn bed...
Room was lovely and clean.
Breakfast room was clean, food was pretty simple stabdard cooked breakfast and some continental, fresh, tasty and was refreshed frequently. Nice staff.
No air conditioner
Excellent breakfast
Lovely stay we've just left the hotel clean room good food very friendly staff spoke to Anna and Michelle they were lovely
We love premier inn; comfy beds, decent showers and a delicious breakfast where kids eat free! This premier inn is a bit dated and the bathrooms are small with a shower only but still a good premier inn experience. The staff were all really friendly, particularly Heni who was really kind and thoughtful when we had booked a smaller family room rather than the expected big family room. We went to the pub next door for a delicious evening meal which was great and fab for the kids. The main down side was that there was no air conditioning. It was a VERY hot and sweaty day so it was tough without air con. If it wasn’t summer it would be fine but I wouldn’t book again if it was.
Several family members stayed for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. Diane and the other staff were very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and you know what you’re getting with Premier Inn. The integrated breakfast restaurant is excellent.
For us the only downside of Premier Inns in general is the dynamic pricing applied to the online booking but that’s expected nowadays.
