Professional property host/manager
The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy and the noise from the neighbours was disturbing.
The reception staff Shaan and Gareth were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Thank you very much for a welcoming stay.
Great location a few min walk from airport with great transport links. The room was a good size and comfortable. There were extra pillows, a vending machine, parking, and luggage storage. Check in is at 3pm, and we were able to check in at 2:30, and check out is 12pm, leaving time for a lie in.
Chaotic check-in. One machine out of order, another would not process the reservation, leaving staff to handle a very long queue, while guests waited in a tatty reception area. On the plus side, the room was OK, and the breakfast excellent.
Our stay at the Premier Inn was great. The rooms were comfortable, and everything was well looked after. Tahmid gave solid service both in the restaurant and at reception friendly, quick, and helpful throughout our stay.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were very welcoming, and the location was perfect—just a short walk to West Quay Shopping Centre. I’d definitely stay here again
Great room, great service, great breakfast, and best of all the shower was the best I've had in a while.
Overall, perfect for what I needed for a couple of nights.
Raman at reception was very helpful - she went out of her way to help me on various occasions.
The restaurant manager was also very helpful when there were no tables available
Spacious, clean rooms and exceptionally friendly staff made my stay wonderful. Great location and excellent value..
We booked in 03/11/2025 and left 09/11/2025. The room was clean but dusty in some areas, the mattress was very stained.
The food has been very nice both for breakfast and evening meal. The downfall fall of the week was the process/service of how the evening meals have been.
On Monday the dessert order was lost so had to re order as well they didn’t have all the items on the menu
Tuesday we booked a table for 18:00 but nobody came to serve us until 19:15
Wednesday our mains order was lost so had to re order after a 45 minute delay
Thursday they forgot my kids order leaving us to wait for his to come and our food was cold
Friday my mains order was wrong (I wanted pizza with 3 toppings but when my order arrived I had different toppings that requested)
I think Saturday was the only day everything seemed to have gone as expected.
My only other complain was on the Sunday morning the fire alarm went off at 06:00, upon speaking to reception I was told it was a false alarm however it went on for 45 minutes.
I would like to mention that Jason our server for the majority of the days had good customer relations, remembered our faces after a couple of nights service. You can definitely tell he is trying to please everybody but possibly too much work for what seems like 1 server. I would recognise him to be an asset to the business.
I would like to compliment Karen I believe her name was (worked on the breakfast side of things), had conversations with us daily, remembered my sons name and played with him(he is 4 years old)
As always the staff in the restaurant especially Jason is so obliging and always goes above and beyond. New menu was a pleasant surprise. Southampton airport Premier Inn is always my go to place for a business trip and never disappoints.
Re-write of my last review which seems to have been removed ?? Possibly due to photos I included of the lorry at 05.56am
Stayed a night at this hotel, Saturday to Sunday. Rudely awoken by a HGV at 5.30am who proceeded to manoeuvre out of carpark with reversing bleeping and shouting to his banksman. This continued for well over 35 mins including the time the driver sat in the lorry warming up his engine.
I sent a complaint to Premier Inn and followed up with a phone call as they failed to reply …… lady on phone at call centre was unhelpful to the point of saying “any disturbance from outside the hotel (even in their own carpark) is NOT A COMPLAINT THEY CAN OR WILL DEAL WITH. The driver and lorry were staying at the hotel….. Quite frankly Premier Inn do not give a damn about a good nights sleep, despite all their adverts on television saying to the contrary. LENNY HENRY WOULD NOT HAVE SLEPT FITFULLY AT THIS HOTEL..
**** Receptionist, Jacqui, was incredibly helpful and very apologetic. Shame the call centre staff couldn’t go to the same Charm School.
Lovely comfortable bed room good size, shower was an attachment in the bath nice hot water and looking out of the window onto the edge of new forest. Just off the M27 very easy to find turn into the Vine inn car park and follow the road round plenty of parking spaces
Stayed in Premier Inns a handful of times this year with mixed experiences. This was by far the worst. Poorly maintained, to the point of dirty, room.
Upon arriving the two staff behind the counter couldn’t have been any more disinterested or rude if they had tried.
The room (and public areas) was badly in need of repairs and maintenance. The room was damp (to the point of pillow etc feeling damp.). The TV from the room next door was clearly audible and the heating didn’t work, so the room was cold.
Bathroom had peeling paint, carpet lifting in the doorways, rusty towel rail etc. just nasty. Wouldn’t really recommend unless you fancy roughing it.
Hsk kept knocking on the door and disturbed our sleep even tho the checkout time was at 12. Overall the room was clean and nice.
Best Premier Inn we have stayed in. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very rare in my experience
Everything it says on the tin. Friendly stay, comfy rooms, free parking. Perfectly placed for Peppa Pig land, and Hungry Horse next door. And a Wacky Warehouse. Perfect.
Great service in the restaurant from Jason. Single female traveler and felt very much at ease and looked after.
Food was sufficient and tasty.
Would return again when in the area.
The location near the port as well as near shops was very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable. Both the dinner and the breakfast we ate there were yummy and fairly priced.
There is no checkin counter, you use the self checkin kiosk but it was simple and efficient.
The only downside is that there no parking directly at the hotel and not drop-off/checkin parking either but it wasn’t such a big inconvenience since there is th shopping mall parking lot right behind the hotel.
Good food and simple/practical stay with all the essentials. Temperature control in the room was poor and you check in on a machine
