Arrived early & able to drop our bags off until later when the room was ready(also same on departure day). Staff were friendly & helpfull & room comfy & clean. Also took advantage of the evening meal/ breakfast deal and the food was great. Belfast is a very walkable city so nowhere was very far away.
Shower in our bathroom wouldn’t drain so we couldn’t even shower. We were given a disability room that we didn’t request.
For a hotel that advertises the best night sleep you'd think having huge openings in the windows would be an absolutely stupid idea.
Upon arrival the room was freezing. We discovered both windows had multiple, inch square vents that freezing air was blowing into the room from. Unable to close them. No problem, heating was put on and warmed up in half an hour.
But thing with holes is that sound also carries through. All night I could hear everything outside. Woken constantly by people on the street, cars, police etc.
Shower was blocked so instead a spray you got poured on like a tap.
Would not reccomend the room we were in. There may have been better ones but we were only staying couple of nights but I was exhausted due to lack of sleep :-(
I good hotel with a great access to the city centre. Whilst I would recommend this and I would stay there again, my only comment where improvements could be made relates to attention to detail when making the rooms up and forgetting to top up the coffee in the room which… nothing works than waking up to find there is a lack of coffee …
I stayed at Premier Inn Cathedral Quarter for 2 nights .
Its in a great location fir shopping, eating out and bars .
On arrival I was checked in by friendly reception staff.
My room on 2nd floor had an issue that was quickly resolved by reception staff.
New room was perfect 👌
Throughout my stay Lauren and Mauve from reception asked if everything was fine when I was in reception.
They are a great team and an asset to the company as they are guests first contact from arrival to departure.
Paulina from Housekeeping couldn't have been more helpful when I needed help with room temperature panel.
Great stay on comfy room .
Bar and Block restaurant bar connected to hotel has good offers .
Will be back to this hotel next visit to Belfast.
I am a fan of Premier Inns and stayed in London and now again in Belfast. Excellent value for money and central location. I would recommend
Just wow. I am disabled and a wheelchair user. The staff have been incredibly considerate, kind and helpful. Really have enjoyed my stay. The staff can't be complimented enough. Sich warm caring people. Congratulations
Friends recommended The Merchant hotel it’s lovely but it’s very expensive so we looked for alternatives close by. This Premier Inn is on the same St. Great location to see all the sights. We were in room 123 . Found it very quiet it didn’t over look the rd. It is a twin room . Very clean. Spacious even. The bar is very good next to reception . It has a DIY Cold water station. Reception staff very helpful. We ate at 2 Taos wine bar along the sane St - great paella. Also Harlem Cafe great for lunch might need booking.
Premier Inn is ok for one night, and one night only!
The staff were nice and friendly, and one person was nice enough to fix the air con. Generally, it all looks nice(ish), but it won’t be long until you start noticing how dirty the place is. ie dusty, floors not hoovered, cob webs in the room, etc.
The room we stayed in was ok, however they don’t clean the room unless you request it. We requested it three times, and the room was only cleaned twice in five days. And even then they only emptied the bins and made the beds (didn’t change the sheets). I’m not convinced they changed the sheets since the previous person, as there was a hair on a pillow on arrival.
The toilet smelt of urine when we arrived, and wasn’t clean at all while we were staying.
The window did not open, so the only fresh air came in via the airflow system, which we struggled to get working properly.
Considering how expensive it was for a 3 star hotel, they could have done better.
Apart from that, it was fine. I doubt I’ll be staying again though.
Stayed here for 3 nights - very enjoyable stay. Comfortable and spotless room. Great location and very close to bus stop for the airport. A short walk from the city centre area and easy to walk everywhere. Great breakfast, reception staff were all very helpful. The central location means there's noise from the street late at night/early hours of the morning so just something to be aware of. Overall great stay and great value. I'd stay here again if I visit Belfast in future.
My daughter and her friend had a room booked at this hotel on halloween night as they attended a gig at the telegragh building. When they returned to their hotel afterwards they were denied entrance by the night time security who was standing with a clipboard asking names of people booked in which is understandable as lot of young people attended the gig. She was booked in along with her friend and was not even allowed in to collect their belongings until her partner intervened but she was still not allowed to stay...he was not asking to stay just making sure his partner got safely to her hotel. This was disgraceful behaviour and left two 18 year old girls alone on the streets of belfast, both paying guests with nowhere to go. They were rushed to collect their stuff and a pair of doctor martens worth £220 were left behind which the hotel is denying knowledge of and also an apple phone charger worth £20..I will be taking this further with the hotel itself and find it absolutely disgusting behaviour on the security guards part. An email will be sent to the premier inn to take this further.
Stay was as you'd expect from Premier Inn, no complaints there. However trying to contact the hotel by phone or email about a kindle that was left in the room has been impossible!! No reply or acknowledgement whatsoever.
I visited this branch of Premier Inn a few years ago and was not impressed...HOWEVER...the hotel has undergone a transformation and has what I can only describe as world-class service, value and quality of food.
From reception to final good bye, our experience was a delight. The "Meal Deals" are superb value with breakfasts that compare with the very best of hotels, the restaurant meals were delicious. I even had a rump steak without an expected surcharge. My wife had sirloin with only £7 added to the meal deal price. Both steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious and the menu had a wide range of other choices. Desserts were beautiful. The hotel's location is ideal. Surrounded by shops and shopping centres, pubs, restaurants and clubs, and nearby buses to take you to any other part of Belfast.
We had to wait to check-in as they were having card payment issues with their machine and after our flight being delayed twice we just wanted to get to bed. We also needed the toilet and they wouldn't let us use a toilet until we got checked in, until I had to say I'd have an accident if I didn't go. Then we had to check-in again the next day as my friends card payment hadn't went through. We were treated poorly and for the price of the room did not think this was value for money.
Spent 2 nights on a visit to the Titanic museum and Belfast. On arrival in our room we discovered the key card slot was broken and stuck on the wall with black tape. As a result the electricity supply kept going off and leaving us in the dark. After complaining about it at reception we were initially told the hotel was full so we couldn't move rooms, we'd have to put up with it overnight until the manager was back in the morning, and he'd see if he could find some more tape. We pointed out it wasn't possible to use the bathroom without any electricity and it was unacceptable to expect someone to stand with their hand on a live power supply in order to be able to see. Eventually we were given an alternative room. The following morning I tried to use the hairdryer - it kept cutting out whilst I was using it. My husband went to reception and was told a replacement would be brought in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later it arrived - but the staff member insisted on telling me that it wasn't faulty it was basically me not holding it properly (which it wasn't as both me and my husband tried it and it just kept cutting out) . Downstairs to breakfast - no hot breakfast (for which we had prepaid) and only buffet. As we were in a rush we had no option but to accept. Magda the waitress said the difference in price would be refunded.
The following morning hot breakfast was available, we asked Magda how we were supposed to get the refund - she said I told you to go to reception yesterday and ask for it. No you didn't we replied. Oh yes I did was the response....
No she didn't she only said you will get the difference refunded.... Why would we be asking her 24 hours later if she had told us previously?
In short - hotel ok for a budget hotel for a couple of nights... Would I stay again? No.. nor would I recommend unless the staff change their attitude - what happened to the customer always being right? I know how to use a hairdryer and a minimum to be expected in a hotel room is an electricity supply, and not a live socket held together by tape which you have to hold in place to get the lights to work....
We always return here as it is right next to great bars and restaurants as well as being extremely comfortable! The bar and block restaurant which is attached is lovely this time we only went for a few drinks before we headed out and it was really enjoyable! We already can’t wait to book to come back
Due to a family emergency we checked in and were immediately greeted with an incredible kindness, empathy and care, which was so sincere that I almost cried.
We were upgraded to a plus room which we loved and made our stay even more restful.
In the morning there was a note along with a box of chocolates left for us outside the door, this support in our time of need helped us to get through a very hard day, I cannot thank the team enough for their care and love during a black time we thought we had to walk alone.
You will never walk alone with a team like this, caring and supporting you.
Love you guys.
Brian and Leela
Friendly staff, clean and overall nice place to stay - would recommend. Right beside lots of restaurants and pubs / cafes.
This is our second time staying at this hotel and we chose it because of its excellent location in the city.
Check-in was good and efficient.
Our room was fine It was clean so no complaints there.
I have a bug bear about hotel kettles and they should be emptied of water before the next guest checks in this one wasn’t and it then makes me look more closely at the cleaning standards.
I used the two additional pillows in the wardrobe only need to find that neither had a pillowcase on them. It really isn’t acceptable. I did rectify that the next day but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
The hotel was fine for the two nights that I stayed there did the job and it was reasonably priced.
I’ve left a separate review for the bar and block restaurant attached to the hotel.
But to summarise - the service in the restaurant was slow, the food was good however breakfast on the first morning was poor as there was no chef and all you could get was Continental even if you’ve paid for the full breakfast - to be fair to the hotel, they did refund the difference to those who were unable to have the full breakfast but it does worry me about the staffing levels in that restaurant.
And the bar for the two days that we were there didn’t have any Guinness that really shouldn’t happen.
My daughter has just arrived to this hotel of witch she though she had booked but she had booked the hotel in England instead by mistake the fella at reception was so rude to her saying do u not realise what u did really hatefullyshe is only 21 years old and is socially awkward i stayed in this hotel many many times but definitely will not be back manners costs nothing
