Well positioned for the James Cook Hospital, my partner was admitted to A&E and the wait time was a long time and I needed to rest before driving us back home and booked a room here, however there was a mix up with the room allocation but they apologised to me and offered a complimentary breakfast for us, the room was small but comfortable and allowed us both to get a proper night's sleep before I had to drive the next morning.
The breakfast was good, a selection of a cooked breakfast or healthier options on a buffet style arrangement, so you could have as much or as little as you liked, free parking also available at the hotel but you need to check your car in on the screen on the reception counter.
Certainly will stay here again if my partner needs to return to James Cook Hospital for any reason and it proves to be a long visit.
I stayed overnight as I had an early hospital appointment and the location of the hotel (close to James Cook hospital) was ideal. I was able to buy an evening meal at Toby Carvery which is next door and come back and relax in a comfortable room which had everything I needed for my short stay.
The bed was comfortable and the room clean and the breakfast the following day was delicious.
I was happy with the price of the room which was somewhat cheaper than I have paid for previous visits.
Perfect.. great start to be welcomed by a human.. not automated.. simple and rapid check in.. we paid a tenner more for the upgraded room.. free WiFi and much better coffee..
Public areas all clean, tidy and kept well..
Room was spotless.. we found spare pillows immediately (one is never enough) had a coffee and then made use of the iron in the room and logged on to the included WiFi ..
Bathroom was spotless and modern.. lovely rainfall and hand held shower was hot and decent pressure ..
TV was easy to use and a good picture
We both slept really well and thankfully had no noisy neighbours..
We had no food whilst we stayed as it just didn’t fit with our plans but it all looked nice enough.. there’s a Toby Carvery on the same plot.
Great place to stay if you are unlucky and having to stay to visit loved ones across the road at James Cook ..
They were great - we required a stay on short notice & didn’t know what to expect & they were great.
Very small room and small bathroom. Needs refurbished as it’s a bit tired.
Dirty cup left in the room.
Breakfast service was very slow and poor availability of food due to only having one staff member to carry out all duties.
This is the most convenient hotel right opposite the James Cook University Hospital. Parking is free. Nice peaceful surrounding. Rooms are moderate in size and clean. We got the rooms that face the field at the back of the hotel, offering a good view through the window. We will stay here again when we visit this place next.
We stayed overnight at the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and the bed was soft and comfortable, We had a great nights sleep and will certainly stay there again on our next visit.
Excellent staff, food and accommodation. The staff could not be more helpful and considerate. Our preferred hotel when visiting family in Cleveland.
As a business traveller we use PI as our standard go to and since covid I have found the costs have gone up while the quality has gone down. This PI is an old Holiday Inn Express hotel so the layout is a bit different than the norm. Whilst the staff are friendly the hotel itself is a bit tired and run down, my bathroom door was really tricky to open at times.
Only visited for breakfast and was well impressed with everything from the friendly welcome from Janet on front desk till the lovely waiter everything fresh and welcoming well worth the money cooked to order excellent taste quality and help yourself continental was gorgeous
I've stayed at this premier inn a few times whilst visiting family. Normally no issues, friendly staff, clean rooms, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast lovely. Easy access to hospital across the road if your stay is due to an unfortunate admission of a loved one. This visit was awful due to rooms being far too hot. Fan provided but too noisy so didn't sleep a wink. Air-conditioning option is required.
Brilliant, clean and friendly. just what you want in a hotel.
Cannot fault it at all, Oh and the bed wow so comfy. Thank you
Very clean room & bathroom..free wifi..comfy bed..lovely continental breakfast at a good price..lovely helpful staff
Ridiculous price £150 for a small room, small shower no sofa. Usual Premier Inn experience, but the Premier Inn Hotel i actually wanted was charging £85 for a room (unfortunately it was full so opted for this as a second, but this one was £150 - complete rip off.
The staff and quality of this location are simply excellent. I stayed here for nearly two weeks due to a family illness and bereavement. The staff were some of the most considerate and understanding.
Room excellent, Breakfast ditto. Can't fault it. Thank you guys.
The staff are top tier and a massive help. Stayed here for work for one night, of which an incident involving criminals attempting to access my van occurred. Luckily the night staff, Martin, was on shift and noticed my van alarm sounding, and was checking the CCTV. He then called the police, and with a torch managed to scare the criminals off, preventing any further damage and anything being knicked. If it wasn't for him I could be in a lot worse situation, so massive kudos to Martin!
All other staff were extremely helpful, doing Premier Inn proud.
Had the pleasure of staying in the premier inn this weekend, what a fantastic experience! Had a lovely warm welcome from Janet who was extremely helpful and polite and served a fantastic breakfast by Denise and served by the lovely Karen! Will happily be back!
I was staying due to unfortunate circumstances but the staff where brilliant and really accommodating
They allowed me to keep the same room to save me packing every night although I was booking as I was going due to not knowing what each day was going to bring
Staff where super helpful, friendly and went the extra mile to make me comfortable even leaving a little thinking of you gesture of chocolates and a bottle of wine
Fantastic service , the rooms are really clean, fresh and new
I was put in premier inn middlesbrough next to james cook hospital.
I've heard lot of bad things about these places but I can honestly say the staff are friendly and don't look down on you like other places do and they were very friendly and kind even showed me were the shops are ect . 10/10 I would book this over any other place in middlesbrough thank you so much
Love this hotel staff are so friendly and helpful it in a good location we were visiting someone in Redcar and as I can’t do stairs there’s not many places with ground floor rooms in Redcar have stayed here quite a few times never been disappointed I would recomend
