Yes
Great location for Chatsworth visit at a reasonable price.
The room was good, normal Premier Inn standard, clean and comfortable (though power sockets near the bed would have been useful!)
Great friendly staff, greeted with a smile and the restaurant staff are helpful & very attentive. Simple food menu, but cooked well, decent drinks availability. Good breakfast service.
The room was spotless
The staff were Lovely
The “thyme” restaurant was great
I ordered a mixed grill, they accidentally sent a full steak, i did say just in case it was the wrong table , the chef said oops, my bad, and they apologised for delaying he rest of my mixed grill so I got a full 6oz steak
The breakfast was outstanding too
I ate so well!
Excellent Staff and service
Good location for visiting my sister. Right beside a large Tesco. Friendly staff, decent rooms. The hallway smelt a bit musty but overall we had a pleasant stay.
Due to family in the area, I have stayed at premier inn in Marlborough on a few occasions.
The staff are extremely professional and helpful, rooms comfortable and the food reasonably priced and tasty.
Received a nice welcome present upon arrival too. Highly recommend!
Fantastic staff and fantastic breakfast. Well done Premier Prestwich team! A new addition to the team is Caylum who is attentive, well presented and welcoming to all hotel guests. Such a polite new young member to the team! Well done Caylum, keep on working hard and you can do anything that you dream to do.
I was really impressed with the Premier Hotel. For the price, it’s great value, and the place has a warm, welcoming feel to it. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The staff were genuinely lovely and helpful, and the hotel is close to everything you might need. All in all, a really pleasant stay.
Good
Great location and really nice friendly staff.
Not so good
Bar pleasant enough but no atmosphere and bottles only
Rooms need a refurb. The one I stayed had a smell of mould and a disinfectant to try and disguise it.
Some of the shelves had a peeling veneer. The towels looked well used and grubby.
Just needs a some money spending on it to bring it up to date
Clean comfy room, clean bathroom, good wifi. Friendly staff made you feel welcome and were very helpful. Lovely breakfast
Have just spent one night here after our trip to Chatsworth House. Very friendly check-in. Comfortable room. Had evening meal in the Thyme Restaurant. Compliments to the chef, the food was very good. Also thank you to the waiter, (Russell). He was very friendly and looked after us exceptionally well. Very enjoyable breakfast in the morning and againhelpful staff. Would recommend.
The beds in rooms 209 and 219 were not up to standard, they were lumpy and uncomfortable. The lack of someone on reception was infuriating. The car parking wasn't clear and having to register your vehicle on a separate consule to the check in one was ridiculous. The check in consule wouldn't permit 2 key cards to be created for the room of multi occupancy which was irritating. The restaurant was too small. There were way too many items unavailable on the menu including silly things like tartare sauce which could have easily been remedied with a quick trip to a supermarket. There were only 2 servers in the restaurant and the one who appeared to be in charge (female) spent the majority of her time chatting to her friends, and left the bulk of the work to her colleague (male) who appeared to be unwell or in pain when he moved about. There is no bar or sitting area either, so having a quiet drink and a chat wasn't possible. Room 209 was obviously located close to something that the staff used throughout the night, as there were constant bangs of doors and equipment. With no one manning reception, and with this area being in full view of the restaurant, we did not feel comfortable in walking down to complain about the poor night's sleep and constant noise.
Always look forward to good staying at Premier Inn. Even better if you can book it early and get a room at a reasonable price!
The room was very spacious with a super comfortable huge bed! Free parking was very convenient.
I wouldn't say it was worth the higher than average price point but we were let down by another place last min.
Lighting in the room could have been better and there were no plug sockets near the bed which was annoying.
2nd time I have stayed here. Good sized room, clean and bed very comfy. Restaurant on site is very good with a varied menu which meant I didn't have to go out to eat. Breakfast excellent with lots of cooked items and fresh fruit and cereal etc. Great location for exploring Derbyshire.
Just a one-night stay to break up the journey to the North. It was absolutely lovely though. Very clean, quiet and cosy. We enjoyed supper and breakfast in the restaurant very much. The staff were all exemplary: friendly, helpful and very professional. We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
Will start on their positives:
Breakfast: This Premier Inns has an open kitchen from where the hot breakfast buffet is served/ therefore the chef is constantly able to see which items need replacing and keeping on top of the buffet. The breakfast chef, Katie, deserves a special mention for juggling the demands of providing a hot fresh breakfast buffet to a busy hotel which she did with competence and a smile. She should be recognised by management - a great asset to your company.
Also Russell, who staffed the bar and restaurant in the evening was a polite, friendly and delightful staff member. Both he and Katie deserve a pay rise!!!
Another positive is the location of the hotel in respect of Chatsworth House, which was the purpose of our stay.
Now the negatives…..
Rooms: There has been no fresh air In these rooms since it was built as no opening windows and it is evident in the stale, sweaty smell of the room. The heating/aircon system will not go below 19 degrees so the room was permanently hot and smelly.
Sleep: Poor sleep on both nights due to the stifling heat in the room which became quite claustrophobic over night. There is no good night guaranteed at this premier inn.
Restaurant/Bar: As with many other premier inns this hotel has no attached pub- just an area which opens as a “bar” and restaurant in evening and where breakfast is served. This only opens at 5pm so no where to have a drink and snack on arrival. The bar is just a cabinet of drinks- no draft beers etc, just bottles. We chose not to eat at the hotel as the restaurant was lacking atmosphere and was a basic cafe type environment serving basic food.
We have stayed at many Premier inns but this one was lacking and needs money investing in it.
Overnight stop prior to photography in Savanack Forest . Ample free parking , warm welcome , clean spacious room with good amenities .
Excellent friendly helpful staff . Good breakfast ( need to book) , and good value dinner and bar . Excellent haddock and chips .
Superb value £52 room only .
Well positioned for the James Cook Hospital, my partner was admitted to A&E and the wait time was a long time and I needed to rest before driving us back home and booked a room here, however there was a mix up with the room allocation but they apologised to me and offered a complimentary breakfast for us, the room was small but comfortable and allowed us both to get a proper night's sleep before I had to drive the next morning.
The breakfast was good, a selection of a cooked breakfast or healthier options on a buffet style arrangement, so you could have as much or as little as you liked, free parking also available at the hotel but you need to check your car in on the screen on the reception counter.
Certainly will stay here again if my partner needs to return to James Cook Hospital for any reason and it proves to be a long visit.
Another great stay in a Premier Inn. The room was clean, quiet and warm. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs, which is surprising these days!
There was plenty of free parking and we really couldnt find any negatives during our stay!
