Beautiful, charming hotel, friendly staff, excellent food.
The location is beautiful, the food delicious, BUT:
- the road getting there is unpaved and very bumpy for a good 10 yo 15 minutes
- the hotel has NO hot water. This is not a temporary malfunction. It simply has cold tap water only
- the wifi in our room, (through Starlink) was inop for our entire (4 nights) stay
- there are steep inclines and uneven walkways throughout the property, some are slippery from AC condensation, most have no handrails and are badly (or not) lit
- there is no closet or desk in the room, there is no house telephone, there is no TV. All requests (e.g. to turn on or off the small private pools) must be made by WhatsApp (not easy without wifi)
- dirty towels we left on the bathroom floor were simply rehung
- there is no reception area, just a small desk with piles of paper at the entrance of the restaurant
- the only bar is outside - drinks ordered in the restaurant are brought inside by a waiter. The wine selection is limited to just 2 or 3 reds and whites
- it is impossible to walk to town. A taxi must be ordered 15 to 30 minutes ahead
- small drones were frequently flying or hovering overhead
- the hotel has a no-noise policy but their (taped) music in the restaurant is deafening
- mold is showing in the restaurant’s ceiling
- the tap water is not drinkable. No free bottled water is offered. A kettle is present but no coffee or tea
yes. once we arrived they told us:
1. no hot water in the hotel
2. restaurant was being under construction so it was closed
3. the Pier in the Ocean which was the main attraction of the Hotel was closed due to maintenance.
4. Staff was very nice , it was the only positive thing of the stay.
5. at 7am the hammers and drills were loud do to the construction they were doing.
unfortuantely, the hotel should not be open as there are a lot of construction going on. dont recommend this hotel for the next 6 months at least as it was a very bad experience. especially when it has the cost it has. its very expensive for this experience..
Lovely place. However, it is very hard to reach the hotel, not all taxis will take you there.
The breakfast is really nice, but very small.
Unfortunately, we received a room which faces another house.
