If you're into small, Europen-type hotels in the heart of town, the Bristol is for you. It's a 1940s-era building with all the quirks you might anticipate--smallish rooms, limited counter space, etc. However, it also has all the ambience of an inn you might find in Austria--library-like lobby, fireplace, sounds coming in from the street, etc. A handfull of larger rooms are available for familes. If you've had it with Hampton Inns, Holidan Inn Expresses, etc., then the Bristol just might be your cup of tea.
Nice old hotel character. Clean. Lovely coming areas with fresh scones for breakfast. Walk to restaurants and shopping. Rooms small - lots of character.
Cool funky old hotel nicely done up. We had two beds (for some reason it was cheaper than a king) so the layout was quirky but worked out fine. Very nice and friendly staff, in a great location with easy access parking. A little spendy but it is in Steamboat so that should be expected.
The hotel is 80 yrs old having said that the rooms are tiny, the wall paper is pealing off the walls. I got locked out of my room from the bathroom and had to walk in the hall in a towel to get back in my room. The fire alarm went off in my room while i was not in the room. When i came back it was loud and took 15 min to turn off...no fire btw.
There is no alarm clock in the room. There is one kureg for the whole hotel. The coffee lone in the morning is not worth the wait. my unit was the only one with out cable tv. I was not i formed of this till i asked about it. Hotel staff is not on site past 8pm so if yiu need anything you have to call a security company. Kind if a weird ask for extra towels. It was hard to stay here.
There were great restaurants and shops all nearby.
Great staff.
I’ll definitely visit again!
Great location. Quaint and historical. Hot tub cooler than bath water.Tacked on 20 bucks at check in for parking! Tout scones and coffee in the morning. No scones so far. We like the Bristol but think it’s a little over priced these days.
This hotel is an absolute gem! Not only is it lovely, quaint, and beautifully maintained, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The customer service was truly above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced – every staff member went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The breakfast snacks were outstanding and a wonderful touch that made the mornings even better. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others. I look forward to staying here again the next time I’m in town!
This quaint little hotel in the heart of Steamboat was perfect for our girls getaway trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk to everything. A great choice in downtown Steambaot!
I loved the quaintness of this place. It was a bit pricey, but overall lovely thank you
Comfy and quaint, great location
Bath rooms need upgrading.
Adorable hotel right in the center of downtown. The rooms are small but for my husband and I for 3 days it was just fine. The staff is very nice and helpful. They had free bikes available to borrow and a water cooler in the lobby. The water was an unexpected bonus. We were able to easily fill up water bottles and bladders before hikes without having to go buy water. Great hotel, I'd absolutely stay again!
It's convenient to down town.
old, but updated and quirky
Very unique old property, my room was actually 2 rooms? Because of a shared shower/bath. One room older but fine, bed good and AC worked great, the other room had a missing tall mirror with all the glue showing the room was warmer. The shared bath shower wasn't very clean! Property in great area for shopping and dining, right next to Harwigs, a great restaurant when open. Some staff great another seemed rude to myself and others. Fees payable at checkin were higher than app had said, they were going to let their manager know. Convenient parking.
Perfect location downtown, nothing fancy and an odd room layout for 3 people but it worked. Great for a night or two
This hotel was dingy and poorly maintained. We were very disappointed. Our room was tiny, with a tiny tv and a tiny bathroom which hadn’t been thorough cleaned in what seemed like years. For more than $300 per night, this is a complete rip off.
It doesn’t get better than this!!!
Perfection everywhere you turn.
From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. I am forgetting her name, I feel she is the senior front desk person. She provided all the features of the hotel as well as dining tips. The rooms were very nice and the beds were great. Will be returning to the Bristol hotel again. Thanks
Stay was fine, but the room is a room and priced too high for what you get. Very small
