Hotel Loa

The property was clean, the staff were all professional, efficient, and hard working. The location is excellent, not to close to the busy city, not so far away where it takes forever to get anywhere. The food options at the in house restaurant are limited but excellently prepared l, the complementary breakfast is plentiful, everything was high quality. Staff is always around to assist, and or help out. I your 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Iceland.

New hotel. Menu does not have many dishes but what we had was all good so no complaints there. Very comfortable room bed and bathroom. Lovely staff!! Great choice

I wish that the room had air-conditioning access. I was able to turn the temp down and open the window, but it was still too warm for my liking.

It was great, the hotel is brand new that there still have that new wood smell. Simple aesthetics, clean rooms. Good selection of breakfast. Not much facilities than restaurant though. I wish they put at least one or two local tv channel as I want to know what shows Icelandic people watch. They are mostly mostly american channel. If I want to watch them, I just stay at home.

Hotel very modern and clean . Breakfast excellent . Rooms too small for 3 adults with a double bed and folding bed.

I requested a top floor when I books more than a month ago and when we arrived they acts as though e never requested this option. There is a reason why someone would make such a request, especially for noise reason! Of course a heavy set couple was noisy for sleep - both going to sleep and in the early morning as well! They just old 2 months ago and I booked 5 weeks after they open so I do not understand why I would be one of the last one to get a top floor!

Instead of hopping from hotel to hotel we decided to stay in one hotel and do all the sightseeing from there. Hotel Loa is located very central in the South path. Right on highway. Good breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.

Check in was a disaster. I booked and paid for a Triple Superior room that was specifically stated to have a king and a twin. when we got to our to the room, it had one bed. I was not traveling with a spouse so this was not acceptable. After waiting for 15-20 minutes, the clerk said that the problem was solved but all they did was separate the beds. It allowed us to keep the room but it was not what was paid for in my reservation. A word of warning for anyone else making a reservation under these circumstances at this property: If you book a triple room and only list two occupants their reservation system will arbitrarily give one bed no matter what you actually paid for. This situation clearly affected our opinion of this hotel. Aside from what we considered to be a questionable business practice, the hotel was very impressive. It is new with a very striking design in the lobby and bar area, expansive views of the open areas surrounding the hotel. The rooms were very nice. The breakfast was exceptional both for quality and the variety of food provided. We had stayed in many hotels in eight countries in Europe during our extended trip and Hotel Loa breakfast stood out as the best .

Brand new, great design. 3 suggestions--1. Staff should smile more and be more welcoming, 1/2 of them said nothing; 2. Not up to par yet, some things, like TP holder, missing in our room. 3.Ran out of eggs halfway thru the breakfast time and no OJ--disappointing. Only open 1 1/2 months. Still getting organized I think.

This is a brand new building, that needs a couple little tune-ups as they go.
The bed was the most comfortable we had, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff (especially Alicia at the front) was very good.
We would definitely stay here again.

Staff were super sweet! Brand new hotel in the heart of Hella. Great food and cute bar. Great way to break up the driving for a night. Very clean rooms.

Amazing hotell, a little bit of location wise but close to adventures on the south-east coast. The hotel is very new and nice, a bit dark as they turn down the lightning.

The only negative was the staff, or parts of. Some of them were polite and friendly but most of them looked grumpy and did not even say hi. One guy looked like an angry thug looking for a fight :)

Hotel Loa is beautiful. I would recommend to anyone traveling in south Iceland.

This hotel is brand new. So nice. The breakfast was so good. Lots of food and variety. Coffee,juices,fruits,bacon,eggs,sausage,breads,pastry. Just a wonderful way to start the day. Staff very polite and helpful
