Great weekend away with friends in a truly hospitable hotel that understands what people want.
Pros:

Roots Hotel is a little gem! Incredibly helpful and informative staff who are happy to give advice and generally be helpful. Room was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. Kitchenette equipped better than a lot of villas! Comfy beds, good bed linen. Good shower. Communal breakfast room was a godsend when storm Martha descended - we sat and drank wine and played cards and chatted with Manuel.
Spoke to some other guests who had been touring Portugal for 6 weeks and said that this was by far the best accommodation that they had booked

Nice stay in Faro
Pros:

Lovely apartments, with fully equipped kitchen, close to the city center, nice and helpful personnel. Also liked the lounge space at the ground floor with coffee machine, good for a break when staying indoors. The bus station to the airport is on the same street. Would definitely stay here again when in Faro.

Met every expectation.
Pros:

Easy to get to from railway station. Walking distance to city centre. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Rooms had everything we required for a short stay. Staff were friendly and gave good advice about where to eat.

Cons:

Das wir das Parken extra bezahlen mussten, das wir für die erste Nacht die wir leider auf dem Meer verbracht haben , den vollen Betrag bezahlen mussten. Hätte mich gefreut eine Ermäßigung zu erhalten.

Perfect getaway in Faro.
Pros:

Great compact apartment with everything you need for a few nights away in Faro. This is our second stay and am sure won’t be the last. We had a car so underground parking at €9 a night was a bonus and so handy. Everything was spotless and we had a small balcony which is ideal for sunny morning tea or evening drinks! we cooked in a couple of nights and managed simple meals (no oven but that’s to be expected) but even a small dishwasher and recycling container in the room made it feel very homely and not too much work!

Cons:

Nothing really, breakfast in the room is available but no breakfast buffet which suits me but others may prefer a breakfast downstairs as an option. Personally I prefer not to overpay for what I’m not using.
