We enjoyed getting to explore Auckland.
Pros:

The chef making the omelets at breakfast was fantastic!

Cons:

Our check in process. We checked in during the morning and realized the room wasn't ready. We didn't expect the room to be ready so that wasn't a big disappointment for us. They held our bags and were told to return between 1 & 2pm. We returned at 3pm and our room still wasn't ready. A few minutes later we were given our keys to our room, but when we entered the room it was already occupied. This upset us and the occupant! The front desk was very confused, no apologies given when we were assigned another room - lower floor. Some apology & compensation/token would have gone a long way with their customer service. The rest of our stay was fine, but not sure I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great hotel, we'll stay there again.
Pros:

Attentive and helpful staff. Very clean, comfortable room with everything we needed. Close to the centre of Auckland and great value for money. Parking close by.

Great Auckland Hotel
Pros:

The rooms are small but well appointed. Bed and linens very nice. Offered a great pillow menu. Staff are responsive and friendly. The lobby is welcoming and stylish. Restaurant is good for dinner, drinks and breakfast buffet is excellent. Easy to get to wharf, Skytower, Auckland Art Gallery (free!) as well as other locations or hop on a bus right out the door.
