I've been to Belgrade many times over the years and enjoy trying new hotels and rentals. Of all of the places I've stayed, Black Gallo checks the most boxes for a comfortable stay.

It's perfectly located on a side street off the main drag, Knez Mihailova. So you get the convenience of an unbeatable located but the quiet of a more residential area. No noise at night which is hard to find in a bustling city without feeling like you're too far from the action.

We stayed in the two bedroom penthouse on the 6th floor. There is an elevator and it was working all 5 days we were there. Penthouse has two spacious bedrooms, a kitchen with fridge, freezer(1), stove, coffee maker, tea kettle and assorted plates, cutlery, etc. Bathroom is huge with a walk-in shower and soaps, shampoo, just like hotel would have. There's a common area with a sofa and table that seats four. All rooms have TVs that allow connections to streaming (most hotels do not; you're stuck with the local channels). Best of all was the large terrace with a sofa, two stuffed chairs and coffee table. We spent a lot of time on the terrace in the morning and evening.

If you stay in one of the other rooms, you'll be on the second floor where the rest of the rooms are all located.

Communication was prompt and clear. We arrived later on Sunday and were given easy-to-follow instructions to check ourselves in. We were able to contact the concierge 24-hours a day if needed. Most hotels connect the room key to electricity use: when you leave with your key, everything powers off. That makes financial and energy sense, but means you can't charge anything while you're out and about. Black Gallo allows you to keep electricity on while you're gone if you choose to. Small but useful perk for busy travelers.

Other details: breakfast is included at the cafe below the residences, spacious closets to hang or stack clothes, optional daily room cleaning.

The property was amazing! We rented three apartments, one of which we used for the preparation for my wedding. Needless to say, the pictures we made there were incredible. The whole staff was so welcoming, pleasant, and they made sure we had everything we needed. They didn’t mind a whole bunch of people who were in the apartment on the day of the wedding. They even gave us a complementary wine All beds were particularly comfortable. We are so happy we chose this place to get ready for our special day, as well as to host some of our closest friends and family. I could not recommend this place enough!

Absolutely amazing

Magnífica ubicación en el centro de Belgrado, calle peatonal súper tranquila y sin ruidos. El check-in nos lo hizo una chica de recepción muy amable y educada. Cama muy cómoda y habitación amplia.
