It was nice and staff was super friendly
The vegetation around the hotel and gardens next to the pool are incredible ! Beautiful ferns, the rooms and all the bedsheets, pillows are really luxurious, food was very good. The hotel attendants are very nice always willing to help but they need more help they seem short of people. During the checkout everyone doing it at same time 11am was the longest boring wait with only one desk

A Hidden Gem in the Colombian Mountains!
I had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Refugio Monte Oscuro. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like I was among close friends or even family. Their warmth and hospitality truly made the experience special—every interaction was genuine and kind.
The resort itself is a beautiful collection of cozy cabins nestled in the heart of nature. The surroundings were breathtaking—lush greenery, fresh mountain air, and the peaceful sounds of nature all around. It’s the perfect place to relax, disconnect, and soak in the beauty of the outdoors. The river that is nearby is beautiful and the excursions offered by the hotel are incredible exepierences.
The food was another highlight. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You could really taste the quality and love put into every dish.
Overall, the environment was just amazing. Whether you're looking for tranquility, a romantic escape, or a place to reconnect with nature and good people, this place has it all. I can’t wait to go back!
- beds were extra small with synthetic matrass protections, very irritating
- jacuzzi was not filled
- water was missing for 2 hours in the morning
- loud pump was running for an hour to fill pumps.
- food was not good. They don't even have menu of what they can offer
- common pool was dirty
- they were very pushy promoting their extra experiences

Stunning location, nice staff, very good cook despite of limited supplies during our stay, lovely little pool, great place to unwind and connect with nature. Good excursions on the river.

as Full board and for the high price in Colombia it would be great if some extras were included for this but I understand you pay for the location and finish of the place
Quite simply the most incredible place I've ever been. The setting is lush, rainforest surrounded by verdant, colourful life. Each member of the team show a care and hospitality as though you're visiting their house. Each meal is thoughtful and delicious. The tours up river (particularly "Cascadas") showed me natural beauty that I didn't know was possible, especially when led by the amazing Dube. If you have the opportunity to stay here don't pass it up - you'll leave with warmth and beautiful memories.

The rooms are so comfortable, loved the experience kit and the food and service was outstanding.
Wou’ve loved hot water in order to use the amazing tub. Also would’ve been appreciated in the shower.
