Pros:

I unfortunately had to stay in this apartment for a short period, and I must say it was one of the most unpleasant accommodation experiences I have ever had. The apartment was far from the standard described or that one can reasonably expect.

Disappointing Cleanliness: The dirt was the first thing that hit me when I stepped inside.It wasn't just ordinary untidiness, but a fundamental and disgusting filth. The absolute worst point was the discovery of several cockroaches scurrying around in the kitchen and bathroom. This is completely unacceptable and a serious health hazard.

The Kitchen: The kitchen was in a dreadful state.The kettle was so encrusted with limescale and old grime that one wonders if it had ever been cleaned. Using it was impossible. To my surprise, there was neither a pot nor a frying pan to use, which makes it very difficult to cook unless you buy your own.

The Bathroom: The shower was covered in a disgustinglayer of mold in the grouting and on the walls. The smell was noticeable and it did not feel hygienic at all to use the shower.

Noise and Insulation: The apartment hasvery poor insulation, both against sound and most likely against cold weather. You could hear every single step, every conversation, and every door that closed out in the stairwell. It provided no feeling of privacy or peace.

Unfortunately it was a terrible stay.

It took 5 phone calls to get into the apartment. We were not sent any instructions.

The building is a work site with builders sawing and hammering at 11.00pm.

The building is full of smoke, despite there being signs on the wall saying it is a smoke free venue.

The pillows, towels and bedding stinks of cigarette smoke. We both woke up sick with headaches as the smoke came under the door at night.

My sleep apnea machine is now ruined as it is now filled with the smell and I will need to replace it. I will be asking for compensation.

This is easily the worst hotel I’ve ever booked with hotels.com

Not recommended! Avoid!
Pros:

The location was convenient to food and public transport, but the building was old and in disrepair. The flat is in a renovated hallway that appears nice and the room was recently renovated, with a lot of potential.

However it's down hill from here. The sheets were torn and dirty with hair and dust. The mattress and sofa were stained. There was a stove and microwave but no cookware, no kettle, etc. 3 shampoos but no soap in the bathroom.

Communication was terrible. Three days of messaging ahead of time including via hotels.com app and WhatsApp went unanswered. They do answer the phone. On check in they took 10 minutes to find my reservation, leaving us to stand outside in a sketchy street at night waiting for instructions to enter. No onsite staff but that's pretty normal for the region.

We actually ended up booking a second room elsewhere and biting the loss. There are much nicer flats near by plus hotels. It's a great location so I recommend those instead.
