Our stay at Mehood Hotel Lingnan College offered a calm and comfortable retreat in the heart of Guangzhou. The front desk team was courteous and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and always ready to assist with a smile. Their patience and willingness to help—especially as we navigated language differences—did not go unnoticed and were deeply appreciated.

While there was no staff at the door to assist with luggage, the welcome inside was warm and professional. The ground-floor restaurant, though friendly in service, offered a limited buffet breakfast and lacked the vibrant energy we’ve come to associate with Mehood properties. We chose to skip the late-night noodle service—not for lack of faith in the food, but because the ambiance didn’t quite invite us in the way we’d hoped.

It’s hard not to compare, gently, with our recent experience at Mehood Lestie Hotel Hengshan Road in Shanghai, where the atmosphere, affection, and attention to detail left a lasting imprint. That stay raised the bar in ways that are difficult to articulate—but easy to feel.

Still, there’s a quiet charm to Lingnan College. With a few thoughtful touches, it has the potential to rise from good to exceptional. We look forward to seeing how it evolves. Thank you

I had a very low expectation because this hotel is marked as two-star on Orbitz, but it's definitely much better than two-star. I would say it's at least 3 1/2 star experience comparing with US hotels. The breakfast was great, there is even an empoyee cooking noodles onsite. The room was in great condition, and the staffs are super friendly. If you sit in the lobby for a few mins, someone will come to you with a cup of water.
