Excellent breakfast brought to our room.

We were very impressed with our stay your guys hospitality was excellent was a bit noisy on those windy night an place needs a few minor upgrades an I would have done 5* for everything but other than that great stuff 👍👍👍👍

I honestly don’t have too many positive things to say about this property. I really had high expectations and lava suites failed me. But he bed was hard as rock. You’re basically sleeping on boards and a thin very thin mattress. No tv in the room, no phone for emergencies in the room. No real shower head so with one hand you’re holding the shower head with one hand while trying to use the other to actually clean up itself (unrealistic) plus mosquitoes all in the shower and sink. Sitting area uncomfortable, towels super dirty. I would not recommend. I would not return to this location.

The best thing about this property is its location—hands down five stars for that alone. You simply cannot beat it. It’s exactly where you want to be in Santorini: just a five-minute walk from the main square of Fira with absolutely stunning views of the Caldera. We could walk everywhere, and honestly, I wouldn’t choose to stay in any other area.

That said, the property itself could use some attention. Most of the lights in our room didn’t work (see attached photos). On our very first night, the bed broke because of the slatted frame—the slats shifted, and the entire mattress fell to the ground. The mattress also didn’t seem to fit the frame properly, making it unstable. Even aside from that, the mattress itself was very uncomfortable and left us with backaches after just one night. Since we were staying for three nights, we ended up moving to the two single beds in the other room, but unfortunately, those mattresses were just as uncomfortable.

On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent—fresh, delicious, and a highlight of our stay. The service was also outstanding, especially thanks to Sophia at reception. She was warm, welcoming, and gave us great, honest advice that truly enhanced our time in Santorini. Sophia, along with the location, made our stay memorable.

Overall, this property has incredible potential. With some much-needed TLC and updates to the rooms—particularly the beds—it could easily be a five-star experience.

The view was great but the best part was the staffs’ amazing hospitality

We LOVED our stay at Lava Suites! The view over the Med and volcano was spectacular. The courtyard was comfortable and yet very near shopping and dining options. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and responsive. The lodging was sizable and interesting in how it was built into the hill. For a great Santorini-Fira experience I would recommend Lava Suites as a first choice.

I really enjoy my stay at Lava Suite, the place is really beautiful and at 10 minutes by walk from the city center. The bus station to visit the other villages is very near by walk too, the receptionnists working at the hotel are amazing very kind and helpfull

Very good services

The arrival was easy as we booked their transport. I don't think we could have found it otherwise. They were easy to reach by WhatsApp msging. The room was a bit stuffy, the chair and bed were not so comfortable. The internet was TERRIBLE. It did not reach the bedroom and was often poor connection in the living room. There was no iron either. Overall it was ok as the staff were very nice and the location was perfect.

My husband and I came for our honeymoon and it was the most amazing experience ever. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was absolutely stunning. Inside was spacious, beautifully designed, and relaxing. The Caldera view and private pool were our top favourites. The staff were super welcoming and available for any questions through WhatsApp. They were warm, attentive, and always available for recommendations to make our stay special. We were served complementary breakfast to the room every morning and the brought it to our balcony to enjoy the view. We could watch the sunrise over the cliffs. The hotel area (lobby pool) and our room were spotless every time.
It is central to downtown Fira where it is a short walk to the city centre/shops & restaurants.
Everything about Lava Suites exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t have asked for a better Santorini experience.
If you’re looking for breathtaking sunsets, comfort & true Greek hospitality, Lava Suites is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to come back!

The location was a 10/10. The view a 10/10, the breakfast a 10/10.
We were in the Jasmine room. The bed was very, very hard, so we grabbed the squabs off the lounge suite and put themon the bed which was wonderful. Our recommendations would be some art on the walls, perhaps a nice rug or two on the floor with a coffee table to make it look more inviting and cared for. Value for money however was a 9/10. are room and property. Good amenities. The staff was great, Sophia and O’Neill were great hosts and made this stay very comfortable and helpful, very attentive,. They even pre-arranged the transportation from the airport to the hotel and the hotel to the port. Great breakfast served to your room every morning at your chosen time. Definitely will stay here again.

Everything was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The daily breakfast was incredible, the pool was always clean, the courtyard was inviting.
