My stay at Bella Nara Hotel Chiang Mai was a pleasant surprise. While it sits in the mid-to-upper price range for a 4-star hotel, the experience justifies the cost.
The hotel enjoys a strategic and central location, making it convenient to explore the city while still offering a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Chiang Mai. What stood out immediately was the tasteful design of the rooms, elegant without being ostentatious, giving the property a sense of subtle affluence and quiet luxury.
Interestingly, the photos on the website and on Booking.com don’t quite do the hotel justice. In person, the space feels warmer, more refined, and thoughtfully designed.
A charming touch is the daily cookies and juice offered in the lobby for guests. The cookies in particular are wonderfully buttery and indulgent, a small but memorable detail that adds to the hospitality.
Despite its central location, the hotel is remarkably quiet, with very little street noise reaching the rooms. The overall atmosphere also feels refined and comfortable, with guests who appear respectful and well-mannered, which contributes to the calm environment.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Bella Nara to travelers who appreciate subtle, understated luxury and a quiet, tasteful stay rather than flashy opulence.

Room size, cleanliness, Breakfast
the location was a bit off Nimmard, but still walkable
Selfhood stopped and the room was good enough sized.
Presumably, it's not laid out real well, and there is no comfortable place to watch television.
Convenient location, excellent service and room condition is beyond expectations.

Property very close to the main town which was great. 10-15 min walk to old town. Gym was great too and had a/c. Staff were lovely and it was very clean.
The pool was freezing and beds are particularly hard which I got used to.
The staff were all so lovely and helpful, peaceful pool, cosy sauna, great location next to nimmon
The pool gets no sun but we were okay with that - so much to do outside hotel
A classy hotel located within walking distance to buzzy and happening Nimman. Spacious and squeaky clean room with firm beds. There is a balcony that runs alongside the rooms from where one can get great views of the city. Ubers are plentiful so it is easy to get around the city. the staff was warm and courteous. The breakfast buffet comes with a big spread of Western, Thai and Chinese dishes.
Fantastic stay for our first time in Chiang Mai. Brilliant location and friendly staff. Very clean and good facilities. A brilliant base for the temples and local markets over new years.
Only criticism is that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Also the pool had limited sunbeds so we were unable to swim during our stay.
We loved our room here, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were nice touches like complementary camomile tea and Thai sweets. It is walkable to the old town. The hotel staff were friendly. We would stay here again
The location can be tricky as it's difficult to get taxis or Grabs from the hotel area (often long waits). The on-site restaurant/bar is small and closes early, and we didn't always feel welcomed there in the restaurant
