Las fotos no reflejan la realidad: una experiencia muy decepcionante
Pros:

La verdad, no me sentí nada cómodo durante mi estadía. Desde el primer momento se percibía un olor a humedad muy fuerte y persistente. La cama era vieja y hacía mucho ruido con cualquier movimiento. Además, el baño no contaba con un tapete a la salida de la ducha, lo que resultaba incómodo e inseguro.

También tienen una fuente de agua que se veía sucia y sin mantenimiento; con el calor desprendía un olor desagradable que afectaba aún más el ambiente del lugar.

Manifesté todas estas situaciones a la persona encargada, pero su respuesta fue que era algo “normal” porque el hotel es antiguo y fue uno de los primeros construidos en Miami. En mi opinión, esa no es una justificación válida para ofrecer instalaciones en esas condiciones.

Además, las fotografías publicadas en Booking no reflejan la realidad del alojamiento. Desafortunadamente, ya había pagado toda la estadía por adelantado y, cuando solicité cancelar las noches restantes debido a las condiciones del lugar, se negaron a realizar cualquier reembolso. Aun así, preferí asumir la pérdida del dinero e irme a otro hotel mucho más cómodo, moderno y mejor ubicado, donde realmente me sentí a gusto. Posteriormente recibí un correo del establecimiento en el que, en pocas palabras, me indicaban que no era posible devolver el dinero porque la reserva ya estaba pagada.

Considero que tanto el estado del alojamiento como la atención recibida estuvieron muy por debajo de lo esperado. Booking debería supervisar con mayor rigurosidad este tipo de publicaciones para evitar que otros huéspedes reserven basándose en fotografías que no representan las condiciones reales del lugar.

Beautiful historic hotel, but a few issues affected our stay.

I really liked the hotel itself, especially its historic character and architecture. It has a lovely atmosphere and a lot of charm.

Cons:

There were a lot of bees around the pool because they had a nest on the building directly above the pool area. As I have a severe allergy to bee stings, I had to stop swimming after just a few minutes because the bees were everywhere. The air conditioning in the room was also extremely strong, and there was no safe in the room. There were also a lot of stairs to reach our room, which was inconvenient.
