Disappointing staff attitude.
Pros:

Location is very central - great for the airport and beach. Room was huge! Pool was lovely. Pool bar was lovely. Loved the omelette station at breakfast. Spa team were lovely.

Cons:

I stayed in Room 206. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard, and each room has a small square window facing into that courtyard. In my room, this window was located in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, the bathroom door is frosted but not fully opaque, and there is a bright light fixture directly outside the bathroom window. As a result, the light shone through the window, through the bathroom door, and directly onto the bed, specifically onto the pillow. It was so bright I couldn't sleep - see photos.

I called the night manager to ask whether the courtyard light could be switched off. Rather than trying to help, he responded by shouting that he "didn't build the hotel" and asking what he was supposed to do about it. The following day I raised the issue with reception but received no apology from anyone.

I ended up covering the bathroom window with towels to reduce the light. The photos show just how bright it was and how directly it shone onto the bed.

To make matters worse, there was black mould in the shower and hair in the bathroom that did not belong to me, which raised concerns about cleanliness.

The lack of both a practical solution and even a basic apology was disappointing. If you are allocated Room 206, I would strongly recommend requesting a different room.

Wouldn’t stay here again it’s not worth £130 a night
Pros:

The rooms were nice but very basic for a five star hotel

Cons:

The lady at the reception when we checked in was very standoffish,it was almost as if we were an inconvenience instead of a guest. When I asked if they had parking they looked at as if we where stupid and replied very condescendingly saying “Sir of course we have parking” it made us feel like we shouldn’t be at the hotel and made us feel silly and unwelcome for asking such a question.it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

The food at dinner was below the standard of a 2 star let alone a five, it was lukewarm at best and buffet did not have many options, we decided to skip the breakfast due to this fact.

It wasn’t all bad some of the staff were absolutely lovely but our first impression was not a good
one, and unfortunately for a five star this wasn’t a great hotel at all.

Great stay
Pros:

Everything was better than expected. The grand room (apartment like) was very spacious with a nice balcony, the pool was very nice, great taste and good quality of food. The variety of the food is good enough to not get bored, 2-3 new kind of meals/ingredients every day. We had demi-pension.

Cons:

The noisy air conditioner from the bedroom might be fixed (it has a quiet button which works but for someone might be noisy even so) also you don’t really feel the cold breeze but somehow the temperature gets better in the room if you are patient. The other AC from the living room was working perfectly.

Boutique – Potenzial bleibt ungenutzt
Pros:

Positiv hervorzuheben ist die durchweg freundliche Art aller Mitarbeiter, besonders im Restaurant. Frühstück und Abendessen im Rahmen der Halbpension waren gut. Der individuell zubereitete griechische Kaffee und die große Saftauswahl mit sieben Sorten sind erfreuliche Details. Auch die gut gefüllte Minibar ist ein Plus, wenngleich Spirituosen und Snacks eher an Duty-Free-Standard erinnern. Schön umgesetzt ist außerdem das griechische Design-Thema mit Anspielungen auf antike Gottheiten auf Tassen, Vasen und Bildern. Insgesamt ein solides Mittelklassehotel mit Licht und Schatten – mit Potenzial, dem eigenen Boutique-Anspruch künftig gerechter zu werden.

Cons:

Von außen vermittelt das Hotel den Eindruck eines stilvollen Boutique-Hauses, im Detail fehlt es jedoch an Stimmigkeit – vor allem in den Zimmern. Das Bad meiner Premium Suite mit 90er-Jahre-Fliesen, Plastikduschvorhang, Kunststoff-Accessoires, leicht vergilbtem Föhn und verkalkter Duschbrause wirkt deutlich überholt – besonders im Kontrast zu den öffentlichen Toiletten, die modern, charmant und mit echtem Boutique-Charakter gestaltet sind. Plastikblumen, ein Wasserkocher mit Instant-Kaffee und ein Kronleuchter aus einfachem Plastikgestell unterstreichen diesen Bruch. Enttäuschend war zudem, dass auf meine Transferanfrage vom Fährhafen keine Antwort erfolgte – obwohl dieser Service angeboten wird. Zufällig kamen andere Gäste zeitgleich mit einem Hotel-Shuttle an, während ich mir selbst ein Taxi nehmen musste. Auch das beworbene Spa war bei Anreise vollständig ausgebucht. Ein Hinweis auf die notwendige vorherige Reservierung von Zeitslots im Spa wäre hilfreich gewesen. Das Spa war einer der Hauptgründe für meine Buchung – umso ironischer, dass man mir beim Check-out dennoch eine Nutzung berechnen wollte.

Pros:

5 stars for the food selection waiting and cleaning staff so friendly Short walk to the beach. We had the grand suite with two balconies and half board which is a must if you are coming out of season as not much open for dining around Kalamaki. All areas kept so clean

Cons:

If i was to make suggestions, table cloths in the dining room and a more comfortable seating but nothing wrong with our stay
