Location good service needs work
Pros:

The location and views are perfect, and sells itself. The service staff are welcoming and friendly. So many local places to eat. Recommend the little restaurant next to the church before the Xonderti dessert bar, food and service was amazing.

Cons:

Unfortunately the lack of reception impacts the servuce. The lady who manages it was a little off the ball and had to ve asked a few times for things like wifi, menus etc. All communication needed via whats app. The property itself needs a little love with the ront door and windows not locking, door handles falling off etc. We had to check out early for our flight and whilst luggage carried down to room was complimentary there was going to be a charge to get luggage carried up the stairs because there is no staff before 8am.

Pros:

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Sophia Luxury Suites. The property itself is simply breathtaking — the views from the hotel are beyond amazing, truly something special. The sunset from here was even more spectacular than what we experienced in Oia or anywhere else on the island. It felt private, serene, and incredibly romantic.

What made our experience even more exceptional was Vasiliki. She is an absolute gem — always joyful, warm, and genuinely happy to assist. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks, delicious Mosaiko Kormos (a traditional Greek cake), and ice cream — such a lovely touch!

She also kindly arranged a complimentary taxi transfer for us from Imerovigli to Fira, which was completely unexpected. And just when we thought the hospitality couldn’t get any better, she surprised us with a traditional Volcano Soap as a farewell souvenir. Every gesture felt thoughtful and sincere.

Vasiliki truly made sure our stay was happy, comfortable, and incredibly romantic. Her hospitality elevated the entire experience.

Highly recommended place — a must-stay in Santorini!

PS: The complimentary perks we received may vary depending on time and availability. We were pleasantly surprised, as none of this was mentioned during booking — which made the experience even more special.

Pros:

Great hotel with an excellent view and location. The staff were kind and responsive, and everything was clean. We could order from the menu during kitchen hours, and the privacy was very good.

The plunge pool was around 30°C, which wasn’t very usable in cold weather, but could be very enjoyable on warmer days (above 25°C). Highly recommended.

Sunsets, hikes and breakfasts in bed
Pros:

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sophia Suites. We've read about Greek hospitality in advance and they more than proved that right. Upon arrival, we were kindly upgraded to a better room than we had booked. Our pool directly overlooked the stunning sunset and the room was absolutely charming. So charming that we spent more time at the hotel than we had previously planned to, because spending time there watching the sunset and eating breakfast at the deck and getting visits from the local stray cats were even nicer than the beautiful island itself. (Sidenote on the bed: I especially loved that it was one big mattress and one big blanket for two - better for cuddles than two separate blankets!) Breakfast was served in the room - either on the deck, or, very cozy, one day directly in bed on a tray. A dream!
The location was also completely perfect for us. Located in the small village of Imeroviglio it is located on the Caldera Footpath from Fira to Oia. Which means in both directions of that walk/hike, you could access everything beautifully basically without ever crossing paths with a car, and SUPER nice for walks at dusk at the most picturesque parts of the Caldera walk. The staff were always nice and so very helpful. When we had to change our travel plans spontaneously the staff were a huge relief with their assistance, as they offered us breakfast-to-go and a shuttle ride to the airport at a god-awful early hour in the morning when we hadn't planned to leave that early. Our stay was during the tail-end of the off-season, which meant a lot of nearby restaurants were still closed, however it ALSO meant that this usually so touristy island felt absolutely peaceful and remote. (and we still got a sunburn anyway!) On the hike to Oia you could hear the birds chirping but absolutely nothing else. And while many of the seasonal places were closed, the places that were open like the Taverna Simos closeby in Fira were those that felt like the heart of the island.

Could've been beautiful, but don't visit it off-season.
Pros:

The view was amazing and we had a suite at the top of the stairs which made it less exhausting to walk up the steps every day. The room was nice and cool which helped to shield against the heat of the sun. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet as there were not many other guests in the hotel. It was amazing to wake up every day with the view of the ocean and the islands right from our bed. The rain shower was super comfortable and we loved the little reading/relax room by going down the stairs in our room. It was perfect for reading a book while enjoying the view.

Cons:

The first negative surprise we had happened when we were shown the room. The plunge pool that was included in our booking was not cleaned and full of flies, the water was also cold. When asked about it, they said they could clean it for us and warm it up but they never did. This was a major negative point for us as we were really looking forward to using the plunge pull on our outside balcony with this amazing view. Also, due to the booking being out of season (we arrived in March), we were not informed that there was no breakfast or roomservice being served as the kitchen was closed. We also experienced constant repairs around us for the summer season and the fresh air was filled with the chemical stench of paint. Most of the city was also closed making everything feel a bit like a ghost town.

AMAZING
Pros:

The staff was so accommodating and did everything within their power to make it an incredible trip. We loved the location of the suite and of course our beautiful view. The room itself was stunning, clean, and spacious, we cannot wait to come back

Beautiful property and view! Staff amazing but hot tubs COLD!
Pros:

Beautiful location! Loved the room and the breakfast and room service was amazing!! The staff in particular Vadillo and Malia were very nice and helpful!

Cons:

The hot tubs were not HOT!! They were more like swimming pools!
