Beautiful hotel with luxury touches and great central location
Pros:

Location was great to get around the centre. Rooms were beautifully decorated and toiletries provided were gorgeous. Communal areas were also very comfortable with refreshments provided free. Staff very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Lifts not very big and quite often in use by housekeeping. Decor work being carried out, mainly flooring which was a little messy and noisy; we weren’t told about this at check in

Beautiful hotel for a perfect stay in Amsterdam
Pros:

From the moment we checked in everything about our stay was perfect.
Staff were friendly welcoming and efficient.

The hotel is well cared for very clean, with beautiful bedrooms- comfy beds, lovely amenities in rooms.

The free refreshments in the lounge were a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice served on lovely china.

The bar only serves light snacks but this wasn’t a problem as there are so many good restaurants just minutes away. We tried three restaurants recommended by the hotel - all different but all very good. Cocktails in the hotel are worth trying!

Location is perfect and situated right on the oldest canal in Amsterdam.

We like to book quality hotels with personality and hotel Estheréa is certainly that.

A towel rail in the bathroom would have stopped us needing new towels each day.

Beautiful decor, welcoming staff.
Pros:

This hotel is beautiful. The decor is carried through from the lobby level all the way into the rooms. The location along the canal is quiet with easy access to restaurants, bars and museums. Will definitely stay here again.

A beautiful hotel with some room for improvement
Pros:

The positive aspect: The location was good as it was a stone's throw away from the city centre and near restaurants and amenities. I liked the fact that the restaurant provided tea and coffee and snacks in the gorgeous lobby. The lobby was beautiful with a library area and ample seating and it was decorated prettily with flowers, wreaths and lovely cushions and carpets. The staff was generally helpful and room service as well as housekeeping was good.
My negative for this: The room was small for the price that we paid. There was carpet retrofitting for 2 days of the 6 days we were there and this was not informed to us. The varnish or glue smell permeated; it was extremely dusty and we had to wait to get into our room as the carpet work was right outside. We could not use the lift because the workers were removing the old carpets. The front porch had no bright lights and it was really dark: what with wet stairs and the rain, it was rather dangerous. There was no separate shower and my room had a rather high tub but there was no anti slip mat so it was a safety issue as I am in my 60s.

Delightfully Exquisite!
Pros:

Pictures do no justice to the real thing. This hotel is exquisite in design and character. We ended our days in the cozy bar with cosmo cocktails! It is very clean. The location is excellent.
