Excellent Hotel & Good Value for Money
Pros:

The Hoxton Lloyd was perfect for us, it was such good value for money compared to staying in the city centre. We don't mind a walk, so the distance from the city centre wasn't a problem for us, but Ubers were also easy to get and not too expensive. The bed was so comfy and the room was immaculate, we both slept really well.

Sadly pretty underwhelming
Pros:

Lovely building although surrounded by modern unattractive blocks, so no nice view - we had a road view. Very warm welcome at Reception but restaurant service very slow. Easy tram ride to/from the city but seemed much longer by Uber due to heavy traffic.

Cons:

Room was very dark even on a sunny day and big windows, needs better lighting. Our ‘Roomy’ room was small - big entrance hall and pillar but rest of useable room felt compact. Bathroom cramped. No coffee machines in room. Didn’t acknowledge our anniversary celebrations despite contacting hotel in advance. Our table wasn’t ready in the restaurant although had made a reservation as we arrived late. Our side dishes arrived after we’d eaten our main meal and were cold - sent one back.
Breakfast was ok although items not replenished regularly and cheese slices were stuck together and hard as had been out for so long!
Not a great experience for 390 Euros B&B for one night.
We wouldn’t return.

Comfy room in a local neighbourhood
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay. The building is impressive, and our room was great—the bed was very comfortable and the decor was a nice touch. We were also lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade at check-in, which we really appreciated, and the free bikes were a big plus. We also liked that drinks and snacks are sold at 'supermarket' prices. While it’s a bit of a distance from the city center, it’s an easy trip by tram or bike. We actually preferred the local vibe of the neighborhood; it's well-connected and has some great spots nearby, like the local breweries and bakeries.

Cons:

A few areas could be improved. The restaurant food was quite plain, and we would have preferred a proper coffee machine in the room. The bike rental system is also difficult, as there aren't enough bikes and no way to reserve them. We were also disappointed by the communication at the bar; we were turned away from a 'private event' that we later found out was free for guests. Reception's suggestion to 'let them know next time' was frustrating as the opportunity had already passed.

Everything was ideal
Pros:

Stylish, cozy, comfortable place for stay not far from city centre, quiet and relaxing hotel. Recommend to visit!

Cons:

Everything, the breakgast is good and the beds are comfortable, the room is clean, the staff is polite.

Nice but for the price not worth it, would rather stop somewhere that is less of a building but is more comfortable and

It’s was a really cool building in a nice area, the toiletries in the bathroom were nice.

Cons:

Some of the basics for a hotel of this standing were not really met. There was never enough toilet role, when our room was cleaned out towels weren’t replaced nor was our tea and coffee and there were never enough staff on reception, the hotel needed a third person on the desk, as every time we went down it was a wait and a rush when being served.

The bed was also very small and a bit too hard.

A beautiful and quaint hotel that had a warm vibe.
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful on the inside with lovely rooms. One of the few hotels that had rooms to accommodate a family of 3 in the same room. Our daughter’s room was privately tucked away behind 2 parlor doors. The beds were very comfortable and the staff friendly. One staff member, Georgina, even gave us recommendations for local charming eateries nearby. The Pizza Vagabond was so authentic that I felt like I was in Naples. The owner was delightful!
