Cool Property with excellent rooms
Pros:

This property is very cool- typical Hoxton vibes. We were able to get a room with a queen and a bunk bed, perfect for family travel. The restaurant was great, as was the service. Even though you’re a bit outside of the city center, the tram runs right behind the property so it’s easy to get to, and allows for a more quiet experience.

Disappointing stay
Pros:

Two friends in Amsterdam
Pros:

Close to a pedestrian street near a canal, the view was really nice.
The atmosphere is pleasant. The building is stunning

Cons:

In the street there are some works in progress really noisy. In our room we didn’t have air conditioning only a fan that was not enough for the warm weather in late May. The windows couldn’t be opened so we had just a glimmer of air in the room. Our room was not ready when we arrived due to some cleaning procedures and we had to insist to change their plans and give us another room.

Pros:

The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced, making it a convenient option before heading out for the day. The hotel itself was well maintained and offered a pleasant stay overall. Also, the history about the property was fun.

Cons:

Our biggest frustration was the lack of flexibility regarding a reservation change. We booked a two-night stay through Booking.com and requested to cancel one night just one day after booking, more than a month before arrival, but the hotel was unwilling to assist with any refund. The location was also less convenient than expected, requiring Uber rides to reach most attractions. Additionally, the bedside tables had very sharp corners, and my son unfortunately struck his elbow during the night, causing a significant cut.

Overpriced, bad service.
Pros:

Overall nice building, clean rooms.

Cons:

Honestly incredibly poor service. Perhaps they were training new staff when I stayed, but it was absolutely atrocious service. Took me 25min to place a first order at the restaurant, the food was average and took forever. The service was both slow and poor, staff not knowing their menu and also really arrogant and negative vibes to customers. Overall service also at the front desk was slow, and unhelpful with staff not knowing their prices, room options and generally just incredibly slow and disappointing.

Perfect hotel - stylish, friendly and well-located.
Pros:

Everything! The room and hotel were beautiful. Staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. No requests were too much trouble. We had an issue with the window in our room and they sent up a great Dyson fan. Food and drinks at the restaurant were fantastic and in such a good location. Free bikes available also which was fantastic.

Cons:

Air con in the rooms! The room was very hot and it was only May so will only get hotter I imagine.

Charmigt hotell med bra stämning!
Pros:

Trevligt och snyggt hotell med en skön stämning! God frukost, tillmötesgående personal och mycket charmig inredning. Fint med kanalen strax utanför. Lätt att komma dit!

Cons:

Små rum och små fönster (i det vi bodde) och den dagliga städningen var minimal. Inte helt prisvärt med tanke på rumsstorleken. Lite vid sidan av centrum kändes det.

Front desk attendant from Switzerland was fantastic.
Pros:

The staff and room were excellent. Beautiful room and view.

Cons:

One elevator was out the entire week. The restaurant was dramatically different night over night.
