This is a great countryside retreat.
Pros:

This facility is like a retreat center. With sweeping views of mountain landscapes in the distance and the ever blowing wind over meadows, this is a great place to take up a chair and a book and listen to the birds. And as a bonus, the restaurant serves a fabulous meal.

Peaceful setting, attentive staff, and clean space.
Pros:

We enjoyed the privacy and quiet location, with the river and sheep and horses grazing behind our cottage. The space itself was perfect for a family of 4 (kids 13 & 9) for 2 nights. The kids enjoyed their loft bedroom area. Service was attentive and very friendly. For example, the front desk staff offered our kids bread to feed the horses in back while our cottage was being prepared.

Cons:

The food was fine, but not great.

Location is not very close to a town, so you need to plan for food in advance.

Er is werk aan de kamers , je mag niet te nauw kijken .. er is nochtans veel potentieel na een opfrissing .

Tourisme "à la ferme" sympa mais au confort relatif.
Pros:

Emplacement isolé très sympa près d'une rivière. "Tourisme à la ferme", bon petit déjeuner.

Cons:

Les chalets sont vieillissants et le confort est moyen. Par rapport à d'autres lodges en Islande qui sont neufs, il faudrait sérieusement rénover ces chalets pour justifier le tarif.

Für eine Nacht akzeptabel; sehr nettes Personal.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr abgewohnt und wirkte nicht in jeder Ecke wirklich sauber. Die Fenster liessen sich nicht wirklich abdunkeln.

I loved it here. We stayed 2 nights and I would love to return for a longer stay.
Pros:

Fabulous breakfast in an airy bright dining room. Friendly and warm staff. Beautiful room with soft linens and excellent beds. Lovely art. Gorgeous property. Sweet horses and a herding dog. Great area for walking. Perfect view of local volcano. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely outdoor hot tub and sauna. Excellent overall.

Nice little house for a peaceful stay
