I would definatly go back to the Eliot during my next visit to Boston. It felt like home!
Pros:

Location is amazing and staff are very helpful and friendly!

Fun to be in Boston, old enough to have stayed at the Ritz in the day.
Pros:

Big Room, old style. Good renovation. Excellent location for me between MIT across the bridge and Comm Ave for the clubs. I walked everywhere.

Cons:

Service was not as trained or capable as they should have been for the price, particularly at breakfast.
Reception staff missing when I came in at 11 pm

Wonderful place to stay in Boston.
Pros:

Great location, lovely suite, polite staff, room darkening curtains, chocolates in our room, nice shower, easy to get cabs, very comfy bed, very good restaurants nearby. Big plus is the Harvard Club of Boston next door for a most excellent breakfast. Definitely stay there again.

Cons:

Breakfast was $22. Fair enough for a very nice buffet, but $7 more for a cappuccino just didn’t work for us, so we only ate there once. We wanted to eat at Uni, but the only option was a multi-course fixed price meal. We no longer eat such large meals, so we went elsewhere for salads and drinks.

Pros:

The sheets were wonderful. I loved the living room area, it felt like our own little apartment in the heart of Boston.

Cons:

The heating system. It was quite loud and would come on in blasts.

Pros:

Location perfect, hotel and room very nice. Cons: we had a kitchen but no plates or cutlery included which makes no sense, garbage was not removed. The hotel should use the kitchen space to create e toilette as the room reserved included living room with sofa bed, but only one bathroom. So if the person sleeping in the living room needs to use the bathroom at night, they need to get into the bedroom
