Location amazing. Super close to downtown Reyjkavik and easy to walk to everything. Very safe.
Parking in lot across street free and easy.
Rooms were not exciting, but also totally adequate, clean, and safe.
Breakfast was expensive and could have been better.
Location, easy walking distance to anywhere.
Close to town, lovely breakfast. Comfortable bed,
Everything was lovely, maybe would have liked black out blinds
Good location in town. Close to exactly where we needed to be.
Room was small. But comfortable.
Gabrielle at the front desk was AMAZING!!! So helpful with check in and when a tour was cancelled on us. She went above and beyond to help us.
The location of the hotel is brilliant. Short walk to all the main attractions and easy to reach everything.
Rooms were well equipped. Beds were comfy.
The fact that you need to check a box for cleaning of the room. This should be a standard that the rooms are cleaned.
When you ask for the room key, reception doesn't ask for any form of ID so that anyone can grab your key. No safe in the lead in room type.
The lobby, bar, seating/library was beautiful.
The breakfast was 10/10 so good!
I feel the property has work to do to be considered 4 star. I felt like I was a bother asking for a hot cup of coffee after my room was pretty chilly(finding an open window at the top of the door that no one would know would even open- that should be checked after each guest leaves and a new one comes). I was trying to warm up before my late night tour and the guy was not kind and I did not get a cup of coffee or never even was told that we couldn’t make a hot cup of coffee.
The lock to the back balcony from my room is loose and it should be stated that the balcony is shared by others. As a solo traveler, I did not love that my neighbors could just walk right by my room so I had to keep all my blinds shut all the time.
My phone didn’t work and I wasn’t even asked at all how my stay had been or was even when checked out.
Great experience!
The hotel is very close to the main streets. No need to take buses to walk through the city. The breakfast is complete: quite a wide choice for sweet and savory.
Many thanks to Gabriela!
Very profesional, had always the good tips, she cares about the customers!
We really appreciate her advises!
Art
Like 3stars retri hotel
The reception was decorated in a “artistic manner with lots of lovely flourishes” It was also conveniently situated
Felt like I’d been hoodwinked from the original image I’d seen on line . Art Hótel as in artistic license! My room was outdated in brown , chemical scented room , the balcony felt more like a fire escape as it was communal . A single wafer thin duvet and 2 limp pillows .
The receptionist felt like he hated his life .
